The 54th edition of the Paris Masters is scheduled to start on October 27th. Alexander Zverev will enter the tournament as the defending champion.

The venue of the Paris Masters has been moved from Accor Arena to La Defense Arena. A total of 16 participants will play as seeded players, with the first seed being Carlos Alcaraz.

First quarter

Carlos Alcaraz will headline the first quarter. The Spaniard will start his campaign against Cameron Norrie or Sebastian Baez.

Valentin Vacherot, the Shanghai Masters champion, is also a part of this draw. Apart from Alcaraz, the seeded players in the draw are: Jiri Lehecka, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Casper Ruud.

Second quarter

The second quarter features these seeded players: Taylor Fritz, Karen Khachanov, Alexander Bublik, and Alex de Minaur. From these, Fritz and de Minaur are the favorites to reach the quarterfinals.

Bublik is also a contender to reach the last eight, given that after Alcaraz, he has won the most titles (four). Another player who will gain a lot of attention in this draw is Joao Fonseca.

Third quarter

Lorenzo Musetti and Alexander Zverev will be the favorites to reach the last eight from this quarter. Also, it’s tough to write off Daniil Medvedev, who recently ended his title drought at the Almaty Open.

Apart from Musetti, Zverev, and Medvedev, the other seeded player in the draw is Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Both Medvedev and Zverev have one Paris Masters title to their names. Last year, Sascha defeated Ugo Humbert.

Fourth quarter

All eyes will be on Jannik Sinner in the quarter. Sinner has never clinched the Paris Masters yet and skipped the tournament last year.

Sinner is chasing his fourth title of the season and could meet Ben Shelton in the quarterfinals. Apart from Sinner and Shelton, the other two seeded players in the draw are Andrey Rublev and Jakub Mensik.

Semifinals

From the first quarterfinal, Alcaraz will walk on to the court as the favorite to win as he holds a 5-1 head-to-head record over Ruud. Fritz and de Minaur are tied at 5-5 in the head-to-head matchups.

Zverev, even though he is dealing with a lot of ups and downs, and trails 2-3 in the head-to-head record against Musetti, clinched the win when they met last time, in the semifinal of this year’s Vienna Open. In the final quarterfinal, Sinner versus Shelton, the former will be the favorite. The four-time Grand Slam champion also holds a 6-1 head-to-head lead over the American ace.

Final

Alcaraz has won eight titles from nine finals this year, one of the titles being the Rotterdam Open, which was also his first success on indoor hardcourts. Sinner on the other hand has seven indoor hardcourt titles.

Alcaraz holds a 10-5 head-to-head lead over Sinner, but because of the surface, the latter will be the favorite to win. Sinner also clinched back-to-back wins in the finals of the Six Kings Slam, an indoor hardcourt exhibition event.
