Miguel Ángel joined Real Madrid in 1967 and was a legendary goalkeeper for a long spell. He was known for his agility and quick reflexes which earned him the nickname “The Cat”. He was part of the Real Madrid squad for 18 years, he spent most of his career playing for Madrid and earning legendary status in the club. Between 1968 and 1986, Ángel made 247 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid. Miguel had won 6 La Liga titles with the Blancos. In 1976 Miguel won the Don Balón Award for being the best Spanish player.

 Luis Arconada was a well-known Spanish keeper during 1970-1980, Arconada was an exceptional player and was an inspiration to many Spanish goalkeepers, including Casillas and Sevilla legend Andrés Palop. He spent 15 years of his career playing at his hometown club Real Sociedad. He made 414 La Liga appearances for his club between 1974 and 1989. He was regarded as the best goalkeeper in Spain because of his phenomenal saves and brilliant performances for his club and country. Luis helped Real Sociedad win back to back La Liga titles in 1981 and 1982 and also made the match-winning penalty save in the Copa Del Rey final in 1987. Valdes is an iconic Spanish goalkeeper and a Barcelona legend. Victor Valdes was part of the Barca squad from the 2000s to the early 2010s.
