#5 MIGUEL ÁNGEL GONZÁLEZ SUÁREZ – Real madrid
Miguel Ángel joined Real Madrid in 1967 and was a legendary goalkeeper for a long spell. He was known for his agility and quick reflexes which earned him the nickname “The Cat”. He was part of the Real Madrid squad for 18 years, he spent most of his career playing for Madrid and earning legendary status in the club. Between 1968 and 1986, Ángel made 247 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid. Miguel had won 6 La Liga titles with the Blancos. In 1976 Miguel won the Don Balón Award for being the best Spanish player.
#4 LUIS ARCONADA – Real Sociedad
Luis Arconada was a well-known Spanish keeper during 1970-1980, Arconada was an exceptional player and was an inspiration to many Spanish goalkeepers, including Casillas and Sevilla legend Andrés Palop. He spent 15 years of his career playing at his hometown club Real Sociedad. He made 414 La Liga appearances for his club between 1974 and 1989. He was regarded as the best goalkeeper in Spain because of his phenomenal saves and brilliant performances for his club and country. Luis helped Real Sociedad win back to back La Liga titles in 1981 and 1982 and also made the match-winning penalty save in the Copa Del Rey final in 1987. Valdes is an iconic Spanish goalkeeper and a Barcelona legend. Victor Valdes was part of the Barca squad from the 2000s to the early 2010s. He was part of Barca’s prime squad and played alongside club legends like Messi, Xavi and Iniesta. Valdés is one of the top goalkeepers in club history and one of the best goalkeepers to play in the La Liga. Victor Valdes made 387 La Liga games across 12 seasons and remained as the first choice keeper for the legendary Barcelona for many years. He won the Best Goalkeeper in La Liga award in 2010 and 2011. Valdes helped Barcelona win 12 domestic titles and will be remembered as of the greats in the football community.

Casillas is one of the most well-known and most important goalkeepers for the Spanish team and legendary club Real Madrid. He was one of the best keepers for Real Madrid and is considered to be the Great Goalkeeper in the history of the club. Casillas joined his hometown club when he was just 9 years old and spent his entire 8-year youth career in Real Madrid’s youth academy, and he made his La Liga debut as an 18-year-old for Madrid in 1999. Casillas was a prodigy and was picked by Madrid and made a name for himself. He played 16 seasons for Madrid and 510 La Liga appearances. Casillas won five La Liga titles, two Copas del Rey and many more titles for his club and country. He also made history when he won the IFFHS World’s Best Goalkeeper award 5 times (2008-2012) and two La Liga best goalkeeper awards. #1 ANDONI ZUBIZARRETA – ATHLETIC BILBAO, BARCELONA & VALENCIA CF
Zubizarreta is regarded as the greatest goalkeeper in La Liga history. He holds multiple La Liga records for most appearances (622 Matches) and the most clean sheets ( 233 ) in the tournament. It is no doubt, he was an extraordinary player with great skills. Andoni had a 17-year-old career in La Liga and played with top teams like Athletico, Barca and Valencia. He was a phenomenal keeper and made his place in history as one of the best Spanish Goalkeepers. Andoni won several league titles with different clubs and was the greatest keeper during the 1980s-1990s. He was also captain of Barcelona’s dream team and won 4 La Liga titles.
