5 surprises that could happen on WWE Raw (Roman Reigns appears, Title change)

The focus from Hell in a Cell has now shifted to WWE’s Survivor Series. It’s the biggest war of WWE brands. It is Raw vs Smackdown. The build-up to the next pay-per-view began on both the brands. While on Raw, 3 out of the 5 members have been selected for the Men’s Team. On Smackdown only 2 out of the 5 members have earned their spots yet. For the Women’s Team all the 5 members from Raw are selected. On the contrary, Smackdown Women’s Team currently has just one member.
The teams currently look like:
Raw (Men’s Team) – AJ Styles, Keith Lee and Sheamus
Raw (Women’s Team) – Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke and Lana
Smackdown (Men’s Team) – Jey Uso and Kevin Owens
Smackdown (Women’s Team) – Bianca Belair
Based on the buildup to Survivor Series, here are some of the surprises that could take place on the upcoming episode of Raw:
#5 Mustafa Ali defeats Bobby Lashley to become the new WWE United States Champion
US Champion Bobby Lashley is going to face the Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn at Survivor Series. But the problem here is, the match has nothing to get the WWE Universe excited. Considering both these Champions are heels, a feud between them would be weird. Additionally, their past feud is what makes their rivalry weirder. WWE fans might remember their previous feud which had an angle of Lashley’s sisters.
Zayn going against Ali would be a far better match-up. But for that we have to see whether Ali could overcome Lashley to be crowned the US Champion.
#4 Romantic storyline between Angel Garza and Nia Jax
Last week on Raw, Angel Garza tried to woo multiple women from the WWE Raw roster. But the only one who reciprocated was Nia Jax. Jax was the only one who accepted the rose that Garza was offering. This could indicate that WWE goes with a romantic storyline between the two.
To make matters more interesting, Shayna Baszler could be added to the mix. She was evidently not happy with Jax focusing on Garza. She wants her to focus on their Survivor Series match. Jax being distracted by Garza could be the reason on Team Raw losing.
#3 Alexa Bliss replaces Lana on Team Raw
Lana won a fatal 4-way match to earn her spot her Team Raw at Survivor Series. But she might be replaced by Bliss because the team is not looking exciting at all. She is likely to be replaced by Bliss, because her new character is just doing wonders. If Bliss gets added to the team, she might give Raw an advantage in the match.
As for Lana, the most probable reason to miss the match would be an injury. The reason is likely considering she is being crashed through the tables every week by Nia Jax.
#2 Peyton Royce goes after Asuka for WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Asuka is scheduled to fight WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks at Survivor Series. While Sasha has her own feud going on with Bayley. Asuka has not been involved in any rivalry for quite some time. WWE is likely to get her involved in some feud before the next PPV. Peyton Royce would be the most likely opponent. Considering Vince McMahon broke The IIconics up to give Royce a singles push, she would get a Championship feud soon. We could see this storyline beginning on Raw.
#1 Roman Reigns attacks Randy Orton
Survivor Series is the Inter-brand war. It is only a matter of time before the WWE Superstars from g up on Raw and vice versa. Based on this theory, we believe that Roman Reigns might show up on Raw to attack Randy Orton. The Viper needs to be extra cautious considering Reigns isn’t his only threat now. Drew McIntyre and The Fiend are after him too. WWE Universe would love to see 4 of the biggest names in WWE battle it out.
Survivor Series is scheduled to air live on 22nd November, 2020.
