“It’s what F1 wants and needs,” Max Verstappen states the one thing that he expects to see in Formula 1 in the future seasons
Max Verstappen talked about the lack of competition in Formula 1 right now and how he expects this scene to change in the future.

The path towards initial success in Formula 1 has not been very easy for two-time World Champion Max Verstappen. The Dutchman gave it his all in a ferocious fight with F1’s living legend Lewis Hamilton as he went for his very first World title while the Briton was targeting his record-breaking eighth title. But ultimately, Max’s competitive spirit prevailed and he finally found victory at the very last race of the season in the Abu Dhabi GP. Thus, it is quite clear that the Red Bull Champ is always up for a competition, and he believes that is exactly what Formula 1 needs right now.
While Max Verstappen’s first Formula 1 title came after a lot of struggle and intense hard work putting up a great fight against Hamilton, his path towards the second title win was somewhat smooth in comparison. This is because Max clearly had the best racecar–the Red Bull RB-18–amongst all the other races on the grid, and even Ferrari, who were the initial Championship favorites of the 2022 season, failed to measure up to Max and his mighty team because of some errors in strategy and tactics.
Speaking to CNN during a recent interview, Max Verstappen clarified his stance on the current situation of the F1 grid. It is quite apparent that last year’s F1 campaign was quite inclined towards Red Bull from the third race onwards. They had won in most of the Grands Prix, while Ferrari had won some, and Mercedes ended the season with only one victory, thanks to George Russell’s Brazil GP win. But in the upcoming year, Max wants the other teams to perform better so that their can be a good competition for the topmost position in the standings amongst the drivers and the Constructors.
Max Verstappen surprisingly wants another team besides the top 3 Constructors to come into Championship contention

While talking about the immense rivalry between Mercedes and Red Bull, the former being an 8-time-Champion and the latter being the team to break Mercedes’ streak of title wins, Max Verstappen said that he expects a few more teams to join the battle for the trophy. He said, “There are more great brands out there, like Ferrari and McLaren. I hope all these great brands can fight for a title together one day. It’s something F1 wants and needs.“
Several things have changed in the teams over the F1 off-season and fans will find some new additions and some replacements once the 2023 Championship campaign starts. While McLaren will now have a new Team Principal and a new driver, Ferrari will also be welcoming Frederic Vasseur as their Team Leader. Now, it remains to be seen how well the newcomers manage to serve their team so that the squads can get to the top of the Championship standings.
