South Africa vs England: ODI series called off due to COVID-19 outbreak

The ODI series between South Africa and England has been called off due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the South African team. Earlier, the series which was scheduled to begin on 4th of December was postponed after a South African player tested positive for the disease. It was then announced that the match would take place on the 6th of December but after more positive cases, the series was postponed indefinitely.
Now, it has been understood by ESPNcricinfo that the series has been called off with proper and smooth conducting of the series in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak looking unlikely.
England’s T20 series win, the only cricketing action possible
The T20 series between the two nations is the only cricketing action that has been possible due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The series ended with England blanking South Africa 3-0 courtesy a ruthless all-round performance but thanks in large to World No. 1 Dawid Malan and his consistent hitting.
3 ODIs were supposed to take place after the T20 series at Paarl (1st ODI) and Cape Town (2nd and 3rd ODIs) but now the three won’t get underway.
