The welterweight contest between the number 13th ranked fighter Belal Muhammad and Dhiego Lima has been rebooked for UFC 258 event in February. Belal Muhammad won 7 of his last eight fights with his recent victory coming against Lyman Good by unanimous decision of the judges on UFC Event: Blaydes vs Volkov.

Dhiego Lima is on a three-fight win streak after losing his UFC debut. His recent win came against Luke Jumeau by a unanimous decision of the judges at UFC 243. This fight was originally booked between Sean Brady and Belal Muhammad but Brady pulled out his name due to an injury and Lima took his place.

This fight was canceled as Belal tested positive for COVID and the fight was scrapped from the fight card. UFC hasn’t officially announced this fight but Muhammad appeared on The Anik and Florian Podcast where he revealed the date of this fight.

The UFC 258 event will headline the main event between the Welterweight championship match-up between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns. It is likely to go down at UFC Apex in Las Vegas although the place hasn’t been announced too. This fight will be a great addition to the UFC 258 fight card.

Muhammad is on a three-fight win streak in UFC and he recently entered the Welterweight rankings after UFC removed Nate Diaz from the rankings due to inactivity.

He has won fights against Tim Means, Takashi Sato and with this win, he would like to proceed further in the Welterweight rankings.

His opponent Dhiego Lima is also on a three-fight win streak and if he registers a win against someone like Belal Muhammad it is going to be a major win for him that will also give him a chance to enter the Welterweight rankings.
