It seems like everyone in McLaren is motivated ahead of the start of the 2021 season. In a video released by the team on Twitter, Lando Norris looks all pumped up for the upcoming season. The Brit has two amazing seasons behind him where he stood 11th and 9th respectively. The 21-year-old got his first podium in the season opener in Austria. Moreover, Norris finished 3rd in the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix. He went on to tell the fans what’s in store for the upcoming weeks. He confirmed the launch will happen. Norris also said that they’ve done the first fire-up of the MCL35M. And were gearing up for the testing which will take place in Bahrain in the middle of March.

Lando Norris reveals everyone in Team McLaren is motivated

The Brit first started by saying, “I hope everyone’s doing fine in these times.”

“I’m back at work, back at McLaren, back home basically.”

Norris talked about the new challenges facing McLaren and his new teammate, Daniel Ricciardo. With Mercedes power unit, McLaren could possibly look to go to the distance.

Lando Norris then exclaimed, “Seeing some of the boys and girls working away, tirelessly. To get everything ready for the launch, for the test, for the first race.”

“Everyone’s very motivated and happy. It’s very nice to see. Very good to be back, to see you all again.”

They finished 6th in 2018 with 62 points, 4th in 2019 with 145 points, and finally 3rd in 2020 with their highest points haul in the hybrid era, 202 points. But will they be able to outrace Mercedes and Red Bull, let’s see as time unravels all the answers.
