Betr media representative Derek as known from his Instagram, has caught the spotlight after calling out some UFC fighters. One of his recent ones was UFC heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones. Reports suggest that Jones commented on a video of Derek in a sparring session, in which the Betr representative gets hit by a brutal body shot. Noticing this comment, Derek made a video warning Jones about his actions.
Many believed that much of Derek’s actions on social media were to promote the YouTuber Jake Paul‘s company, Betr Media. Derek involved himself in such unreal situations as him beefing with UFC fighters which is the main factor behind his promotional content. However, Betr boss Jake Paul has kept his employees in check after watching his mockery of the UFC heavyweight champ. On his Instagram story, Paul posted Derek’s post of calling out Jones, captioning, “Sorry @jonnybones about this kid.“
Previously, Derek was involved in another callout directed toward Jake’s boxing opponent Nate Diaz. Reportedly, Derek wanted a fight with his brother Nick Diaz. However, all these actions were factored in to promote the media business.
Although, Diaz was not at all happy with the callout. He further warned Derek to be a little more ‘careful’ with his actions. Many posts on Derek’s Instagram are full of such entertaining callouts. In summary, Derek’s acts are gaining attention from some UFC fighters. However, this seems to be working towards the promotion of the media business.
Jake Paul confirms his commitment to staying with the boxing life
YouTuber Jake Paul has made a name for himself in the sport of boxing after defeating multiple MMA fighters. The YouTuber has defeated the likes of Anderson Silva, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Nate Diaz in the boxing ring. His inventive matchups with MMA guys and his bad-guy personality remains the reason behind his success.

The YouTuber was recently involved in a back-and-forth with promoter Eddie Hearn. The Englishman doubted Paul’s future in boxing and also questioned his focus on success. Paul responded to this criticism by assuring his fans that he was here to stay. In multiple interviews, ‘The Problem Child’ has shown love for the game as he is motivated to succeed.
Paul’s most recent bout was against former UFC star Nate Diaz on August 5th. The duo fought ten rounds at American Airlines Center, in which Paul came out victorious on a unanimous decision. His next opponent in the ring will likely be his YouTube rival, KSI or Tommy Fury.
