It is obvious to be inspired by the greatest boxing star. Damian Lillard recently concluded the All-Star game with his signature deep three-pointer was praised a lot. After the controversy around his starters he came out as a reserve and performed better than most in the team. One of the best highlight moments in the game was his half-court shot. Lillard is an avid boxing fan. During the All-Star weekend, Dame opened up his views of having a great respect for Ali. “Muhammad Ali is my favourite athlete of all time,” asserted Lillard. “He’s not my favourite athlete of all-time because of what he did in the ring. I love what he represented outside of the ring regardless of what he might have been putting on the line with his boxing career.” He added, “Him being as big of a star as he was at that time. I’m not sure there’s been any athlete in history that was at his peak, and on top in terms of fame and success in their sport and was willing to give it all up for what he believed in. So, he the G.O.A.T. for a reason and it’s not just for what he did in the ring.”
Portland Trail Blazers have a lot in hand now. CJ McCollum is out with an injury. While the team is having a tough time in the competition, Damian Lillard has clarified to the whole world that Blazers are coming hard. “That’s something that I take away from him is not letting who I am as an athlete or what my career is get in the way of who I am as a person, how I really feel, and what really matters to me,” Dame pointed out with context to Blazers.
