After three consecutive wins in a row, the New York Jets had a reality check against the Los Angeles Chargers as they were handed over a poor defeat of 6-27. The first quarter set the tone for the Chargers as they took a hefty lead of 14-0. The team then strengthened the lead in the rest of the quarters and the Jets failed to come close to them. It was another poor defeat for the New York side. 

The Jets were casual and incompetent throughout the game. They missed sure touchdown possibilities. The tight end C. J. Uzomah had a golden opportunity to lead a comeback for the Jets. A Zach Wilson throw found him at the edge of the TD line.

Fans almost celebrated for a possible touchdown, but the TE had other plans. He dived but failed to receive a catch that was comparatively easy for a TE. Uzomah dropped it miserably and the Chargers fans celebrated in joy. 

The dropped catch (or maybe the dropped game) summed up the performance of the Jets against the Chargers. Raunchy, careless and unsystematic. Played like a headless chicken and had no plans throughout the game. And that was reflected in the game. It was hard to believe that it was the same Jets team that won three consecutive games in a row. 

Another poor performance for Zach Wilson. The quarterback had been performing pretty well since the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he was ineffective against the Chargers. He covered 280 yards of passing with zero interceptions and zero touchdowns. It was not his day. 

After the loss against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Jets are back to square one. They were up by 4-3 and now they are now 4-4. It is to be seen how they make a comeback in the coming time.

The Jets will now look for a comeback in the coming game. They will face the Las Vegas Raiders in their next game. It will be a litmus test for both of them, as both teams are under critical conditions.

The Raiders will play their second game in the post-McDaniels era. It is to be seen what changes the interim coach Antonio Pierce brings to the squad. Whether he becomes successful in changing things in favor of the Raiders.
