IPL 2021: RR vs SRH, Match 28 – How can Rajasthan Royals defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad today?

Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) today in a bottom of the table clash at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi. Both teams have not had a good first half of the league phase and would want to go into the second half on a high. With a plethora of issues to address, both teams would be desperate for a turnaround and a win today with the hope that it would resurrect their season.
RR will start the match with a slight edge over the Orange Army due to how shaky the latter have been. They have not been able to string together wins in the tournament and are suffering from woeful instability in their batting. However, they are now bound to play with a fearless attitude due to the fact that their hopes of making it to the playoffs seem bleak. Therefore, RR will have to be wary.
On that note, we take a look at how RR can defeat SRH.
IPL 2021: RR vs SRH – Key for RR #1: Pick early wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad are one of the most top-heavy sides in the IPL. Boasting of a top three of three of the greatest batsmen in the world in Jonny Bairstow, David Warner and Kane Williamson, the side does not have any option to rely on after the dismissals of the aforementioned three.
Therefore, the key for RR would be to pick up early wickets and the likes of Jaydev Unadkat and Chetan Sakariya would be tasked with doing so. If they can price out the SRH top 3 early, it would hold them in good stead to go on and win the match.
IPL 2021: RR vs SRH – Key for RR #2: Promote David Miller up the order if needed

In their previous match against Mumbai Indians (MI), RR had got off to a flying start thanks to Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Skipper Sanju Samson was also looking to up the ante when RR decided to persist with Shivam Dube at No. 4 not a lot of overs being left. The all-rounder struggled to get going and ended up costing 10-15 runs in the end.
David Miller, one of the best finishers in the world got only four balls to face. Therefore, if needed, when the scoring rate is high and there are not a lot of overs left, the key for RR today would be to promote Miller up the order. If early wickets fall, Dube should be deployed.
