During the Miami GP, the Miami beach in the vicinity of the circuit is filled with yachts of celebrities and millionaires who want a luxurious view of the events hosted. However, in a shocking turn of events, a luxurious Technomar Lamborghini 63 Yacht, consisting of over 32 people, sank off the coast of Miami Beach. Authorities rushed in to save the drowning citizens with reportedly no casualties.
The decked-out Lamborghini Yacht, being over 63 feet (19 meters) long, surprisingly started to sink as all the people on the boat were deemed helpless. Authorities, including the Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation and the local marine patrol units, rushed to the scene of accident. The victims were immediately taken to the Miami Beach Marina and released soon after a successful health checkup.
Although the exact reason behind the sudden sinking is unknown, it is highly likely due to overcrowding on the Yacht’s deck. The Tecnomar of the Lamborghini Yacht is built to hold up to just 12-16 people at a time. However, to enjoy the air show and other festivities of the Miami GP, over 32 people climbed aboard the yacht and partied on it. The Yacht couldn’t handle the weight and hence started to immediately sink in the water and reportedly capsized.
The Yacht was filled with influencers and celebrities who did not care about the early signs of instability in the boat on the water. The people aboard the Yacht were unfazed by the incident and kept partying normally. One passenger on the boat, Lauren Nicole, recorded the incident on her phone firsthand. She, alongside her friends, did not show a state of panic; instead focused on saving the bottle of Clase Azul Gold Tequila. Authorities will now attempt to remove the ruins and remains of the Yacht from the bottom of the sea and resume all boating activities as intended around the area. Such an incident must be avoided in the future.
