Rajasthan Royals opener and Indian cricket team star Yashasvi Jaiswal, concerned fans with a recent social media post, with a cryptic caption, “Thank you Rajasthan Royals for everything.” It immediately sparked speculation among fans that he might be leaving the franchise next season.
Yashasvi Jaiswal shared the message, shortly after the RR ended its 2025 IPL season campaign with a six-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. RR had already crashed out of the 2025 IPL play-offs race, having secured only eight points from their 14 matches. The Men in Pink are set to finish in ninth place in the standings, their poorest performance since the 2021 season.
RR successfully chased a challenging target of 188 runs in just 17.1 overs, with six wickets to spare, vs. CSK. This win was notable as it marked only their second successful chase of the season, after they had faltered in eight of their previous nine run-chases. Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed with a quick-fire 36 runs off just 19 balls, while stitching a crucial 37-run opening stand with 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

In his viral Instagram post after RR’s win, the opener shared pictures with his teammates and RR head coach Rahul Dravid to depict his journey this season and expressed gratitude for the opportunities. While agreeing that the season didn’t meet expectations, Jaiswal’s surprising comment about ‘awaiting his next challenge’ sparked speculation that he might be contemplating leaving the franchise next summer.
Nah man, Yashasvi Jaiswal has never put up a post like this in all the seasons he has played. This looks really concerning and cryptic — it seems like Jaiswal isn’t happy with the team management. pic.twitter.com/0liCjoCHod

Fans were quick to point out that he had never posted such a message throughout his previous seasons with Rajasthan Royals, suggesting a bigger reason behind the post. Some even speculated that Yashasvi Jaiswal might have had a disagreement with the team management, possibly due to all-rounder Riyan Parag being chosen for captaincy over him during Sanju Samson’s absence this season.
Don’t worry RR Fans – Yashasvi Jaiswal edited his caption to stop the Fake Narratives:

1) "From grateful for the journey" to "Continue to be grateful for our journey together".
2) Added 🇮🇳 flag after "on to the next challenge" to show his next assignment. pic.twitter.com/mKXOqUhCeI
However, Jaiswal seemingly became aware of the rumors sparked by his cryptic post. He later edited the caption, adding an ‘India’ flag next to ‘challenge’ to clarify that his ‘next challenge’ is, in fact, playing for the national team. The 23-year-old will now be heading to England, as a part of the India ‘A’ squad to prepare for the five-match Test series against the Three Lions, starting June 20.
