The NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville on Sunday was dramatic, with Ryan Blaney holding off the charge from Carson Hocevar and Denny Hamlin for the win. While the Team Penske driver deserved all the limelight, it was the second place finishing Spire Motorsports driver that got the most owing to him wrecking Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

In the second stage of the race, Carson Hocevar’s aggressive moves ended up ruining the Hyak Motorsports drivers’ hopes. Hall of Famers Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Carl Edwards warned the youngster of future retaliation for his moves during Amazon Prime broadcast. Now in the latest episode of the Actions Detrimental podcast, Denny Hamlin has backed these warnings.

He pointed out that the Dale Jr.-Edwards duo gave the perfect explanation to how the Stenhouse-Hocevar clash played out and how the beef is going to playout in the near future. Hamlin told the Spire Motorsports No:77 Chevy driver that the No:47 Chevy is going to take revenge and wreck him back in the near future.

The Amazon guys described this perfectly. Like, when I listened to the post-race, I thought they did a phenomenal job of saying and Carl said, ‘Eventually, they’ll be a price.’ You’re gonna be running really well and you can take this to the book: Ricky Stenhouse will absolutely wreck Carson Hocevar sometime in the near future.

The Joe Gibbs Racing veteran is willing bet on this outcome as the Hayk drivers has a history of retaliations. The most recent example of it is the fist fight he had with Kyle Busch lasts season. It’s not the only reason, as Stenhouse Jr. is someone that feed into what the people around him says and wrecking Hocevar is the first advice he is getting now.

That’s just a fact. I’d put this week’s salary on it. I’m not kidding you. He ain’t gonna punch him in the face, but he will absolutely wreck him because Ricky’s that kind of guy who is going to feed into people saying, ‘Are you going to get him’

Denny Hamlin makes hilarious Jordan Fish comment to back his argument

Further talking on the same topic, Denny Hamlin made a hilarious claim that he is confident that the retaliation is coming soon and the only things he is more confident about at the moment is his fiancé Jordan Fish having their third baby. The veteran was on baby watch this weekend, which was also his 700th career start in the sport.

If you’re Carson, just know that it’s coming. So, don’t be surprised. … There’s nothing I’m more confident of right now other than Jordan [Fish] having a baby and Ricky wrecking Carson. I just feel that is inevitable. I don’t think there’s anything Carson can say.

At the moment the NASCAR veterans are right, with his actions on the track and cold comments about the incident post-race, Carson Hocevar has kind of invited trouble. It would be interesting to see how long it will take for the retaliation and how wild the incident is going to, as well as how it is going to build a new feud story line in the sport.
