Red Bull has remained at the center of online hate due to their immediate downfall in performance. Moreover, the team’s controversial team decisions, especially regarding their drivers, have caused a newfound wave of hate to be hurled towards them. Regardless, Milton Keynes’ priority lies in getting out of the performance slump and converting the haters into supporters. Hence, Christian Horner has issued an uninterested statement against the team’s naysayers in recent months.

Max Verstappen has managed to keep the struggling pace of Red Bull’s challenger at bay and score good results. Still, the team needs an immediate turnaround in performance if they want to retain the Dutchman in their squad. With Milton Keynes’ issues seemingly not being under control, people have started to lose faith in the team and are resorting to online hate in hopes that the team takes it as constructive criticism and works harder on their issues.

Christian Horner believes that times have changed, and people have become much more vocal about their true feelings online. While this might help give some motivation, blatant disrespect isn’t useful for any of the parties involved. Horner pointed out that things were now examined with a microscope, and even the smallest issues were blown out of proportion. As such, the 51-year-old asserted that there was a massive increase in the number of keyboard warriors online, which wasn’t much helpful in their case.

But, to be honest, in the world of digital media, so much more is made out of things, There are a lot more keyboard warriors than there used to be when I first came into the sport.

Christian Horner told PlanetF1

Following the massive negative light being cast on Red Bull, Christian Horner explained that the team did not pay much attention to it. The Austrian constructor’s priority is in resurrecting their pace and making winning races a habit this year. Moreover, Horner emphasized the complications that are involved in running a Formula 1 team of such pedigree. Hence, Red Bull will need to focus on things that matter and ignore all the noise that comes with it.

Honestly, we don’t pay any attention to it whatsoever. We just focus on our job, going racing and doing the best we can. Formula 1 is a complicated business, and there are so many aspects to it and to the sport.

Christian Horner issues unwavering loyalty to Red Bull

Christian Horner has led Red Bull since the team’s inception in Formula 1 back in 2005. The Briton has remained extremely loyal to the team and its members since then. Now, Horner declares that he would always support and defend all Red Bull members no matter the consequences. McLaren’s Zak Brown always took a direct jibe at the Austrian constructor and its issues, as the 51-year-old snapped back immediately then. There have been rumors in the past over Horner potentially joining Ferrari.

Now, Christian Horner noted that rivalries have always existed in a sport like Formula 1. As such, regardless of the situation, Horner declared that he would always support people who donned Red Bull’s team jersey. The Englishman acknowledged that not many people agreed with his thought process and opinion, which further caused backlash towards him and the team.

There have always been rivalries in sports, I’m passionate about this team. I will always defend anybody who is wearing a Red Bull shirt. That’s your job as a team leader. Not everybody can agree with you and your opinions all the time.

Christian Horner noted

Even though Red Bull has a great squad that is resistant to such massive surges of hate, they will still need to accept the truth at hand. Milton Keynes has already lost a majority of their running against their rivals at the forefront. The team must work extremely hard on their current condition to atleast contend for the title down the season. Even Max Verstappen will need to see changes, or else he is highly likely to start looking elsewhere to win races in F1.
