The former NASCAR star shared a clip on her Instagram story. The video was from the ‘I’ve Had It Podcast.’ The guest on the show was Tyler Ingolia, who claimed that the rise in anti-alcoholic views had destroyed the social life of young people in recent years. The hosts of the show agreed with Ingolia, with a consensus on the need to make some ‘bad decisions’ facilitated by alcohol.

Danica Patrick wrote on her story that even though nothing should be overdone, alcohol was a good way for people to be more socially active and have fun. The 43-year-old claimed that this was the reason why she even owned a winery, as it allowed for individuals to get a chance to connect with others. The American racer owns a winery called Somnium Wine in the Napa Valley. Patrick also owns a rose wine, named Danica Rose, which is produced in France.

Hahaha. I don’t condone over doing anything but alcohol can be a facilitator for community, socialization, and having fun. It’s literally why I have a winery. To be a mechanism to connect with the people around you.

While Patrick might have a valid argument that alcohol could open more avenues for socializing, one must remember that it is injurious to health. As such, no one should be influenced by public figures to consume alcohol without fully understanding the health risks.

On the bright side, the break up did help Patrick get back on her feet. The former NASCAR star learnt how to be happy with herself, without having to rely on anyone else. Since then, she has healed emotionally and has come out as a much stronger individual.

Certainly, relationships are not easy, especially when you are a star like Danica Patrick. The media and the fans will always keep an eye on your every move, particularly with your partner. Patrick’s break up with Rodgers was nothing less than messy. However, she has moved on from those dark times, and never looked back since.
