Denny Hamlin matched up against Ty Dillon for the In-Season challenge in Atlanta for the lucrative $1 million cash prize. The JGR Veteran got tangled up in a massive car wreck at Lap 69 of the race. This caused him not to continue the race and ultimately finish in P31. After trumping Hamlin in the in-season bracket, Dillon couldn’t hold back from taking a brutal dig at the 44-year-old after winning.

Ty Dillon looked strong from the get-go and was on the trajectory to achieve a great finish, as he ultimately finished in P8, gaining great points. Unfortunately for Denny Hamlin, he is already eliminated from the massive crash prize of the In-Season tournament, owing to the major 20-car or so wreck mid-way. Dillon immediately brought back Hamlin’s celebratory one-liner and used it against the latter hilariously.

Denny Hamlin is notoriously known to call out his father, Dennis Hamlin, and apologize to the latter for beating his favorite drivers. However, Hamlin wouldn’t be able to say this line anytime soon as he tasted a massive defeat against Ty Dillon.

Ty Dillon called out all the Denny Hamlin fans and made sure they paid attention to what he had to say after winning Round 1 of the In-Season Tournament. Dillon asserted that he knocked out the favorite drivers of the fans of the 44-year-old.

As such, the 33-year-old will now be looking to further move up the bracket and continue his winning pace in the upcoming races. The Kaulig Racing star will have to face off against Brad Keselowski after the latter trumped Kyle Busch in track positions.

For all you Denny fans out there, I just knocked your favorite driver out.

Denny Hamlin opens up on physical pain after waiting in the car to rejoin the race

Denny Hamlin waited in the car despite incurring massive damage to the car and being on the backfoot of the competition, even if he didn’t have a shot at achieving a great finish. The 44-year-old crashed out on Lap 69 and sat out in the car for about 90 minutes. As such, being seated in a racing position had a huge toll on Hamlin as he shares a hilarious reaction to the problems he faced.

The JGR Veteran finally raced a couple of laps in the end to achieve the classified status in the overall results. However, Denny Hamlin opened up on the physical harm he faced after waiting out for so long.

The 44-year-old asserted that his ‘a**’ hurt a lot for sitting so long and not running laps. Still, Hamlin reckoned that he could watch the race from his car as it helped him distract from the physical pain.

My as** hurts. My butt hurts from sitting in my seat for so long and not having the distraction of actually running laps. So the only good news is I got to watch some of the race you know in the car while I waiting to go out. But the team just did an amazing job, you know, at least getting me six spots there by running those three laps.

Hamlin will now have to move on from the woeful weekend in Atlanta and start preparing for the upcoming race. The JGR star has already clinched his spot in the playoffs and now just needs to keep up with good results. The upcoming race course race in Chicago could go one of two ways for the 44-year-old as the father-of-three will have to prioritize time away from the family to prepare for the race.
