In Short
  • Shaquille O'Neal issued a warning to Logan Paul over disrespecting Tom Brady, stating he would confront him physically.
  • O'Neal's comments came during a conference where he and Brady discussed sports and entrepreneurship.
  • Speculation surrounds O'Neal's absence from ESPN's broadcast, with rumors of him having a seventh child and undergoing medical treatment.

Shaquille O’Neal has always been a personality who never minces his words. Popularly known as the ‘Diesel’, O’Neal has been involved in multiple heated moments on and off the court.

The three-time NBA champion shares a strong friendship with NFL legend Tom Brady. The two icons of their respective sport made an appearance at the Milken Institute’s Global Conference in Los Angeles. They discussed sports, team building, and entrepreneurship.

While it was an educational and informative conference, O’Neal had a warning for the Paul brothers, Logan Paul and Jake Paul. The warning was mostly directed at Logan, as the WWE star has been involved in a spat with Brady for a while now. O’Neal said:

Next time you disrespect Tom Brady at a flag football game, I will punch you in your face. I had to call Tom. I said ‘Is this kid serious? Because I will punch him in the face’ Nobody messes with Tom Brady on my watch. Tom is the nicest guy.

Shaquille O’Neal warning the Paul brothers

At first, Shaquille O’Neal named Jake Paul, but he got confused with Logan Paul. The older of the Paul brothers has been firing shots and has engaged in a heated spat with Tom Brady over the last few weeks. He has even gone on to claim that he is athletically superior to Brady.

This is not the first time that the former NBA star has taken shots at the Paul brothers. While none of them escalated in the past, he was having none of it and fired a warning at anyone who tried to spar with the seven-time Super Bowl winner. Logan did post a video apologizing to Paul, but it was done in a sarcastic tone. Knowing Logan, O’Neal could expect a response very soon.

Shaquille O’Neal misses NBA broadcast amid family speculation

On Wednesday night, the New York Knicks took on the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. There was a notable absentee on ESPN’s “NBA Tip-off”.

The regular crew of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith were all present. With O’Neal absent, Draymond Green stepped in to join the broadcast team. However, the Lakers legend tuned in to the show through a video call. In a text chain revealed next, he wrote:

I’m in Yugoslavia getting stem cell treatment on my toes.

While O’Neal claimed to be getting treatment for his toes, there has been speculation about him having a seventh child. Nothing is confirmed as of yet, but the big man was recently spotted at a children’s birthday party, which added to the rumors.

Draymond Green replaces Shaquille O’Neal by taking shots at Charles Barkley

One of the main reasons why Inside the NBA became one of the most popular sports shows is because of the banter between Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley. But with no O’Neal on Wednesday night, Draymond Green took the honors of taking shots at Chuck.

It started off with Barkley calling the Warriors old and their dynasty is now done and dusted. But Green was not about to let the former MVP dismiss his team so easily.

I think the goal is to just not look like you on the Houston Rockets. [That] is ultimately the goal for us. Did you see it? We’re always going to try to compete.

Green’s clap back at Barkley is something O’Neal would be proud of. The two Hall of Famers often engage in heated conversations, and O’Neal often brings up championships to put down Barkley.

There is no doubt that the Warriors are not the team they once were. They missed the playoffs this year after losing to the Phoenix Suns in the Play-In Tournament. While Green didn’t completely disagree with Barkley’s statements, he was blunt in his response and said the ambitions for the Warriors today are different compared to a few years ago.
