In Short
  • Myles Turner criticized Giannis Antetokounmpo's punctuality, raising concerns about the Bucks' culture.
  • Patrick Beverley defended Antetokounmpo, labeling Turner a "snitch" and denying any late arrivals.
  • Chad Johnson reported that Antetokounmpo is looking for houses in Miami, hinting at potential offseason changes.

Myles Turner turned several heads when he pointed out Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s discipline issues and the Milwaukee Bucks culture created by Doc Rivers. It was a shocking statement from the Bucks center, given all the drama and noise surrounding the franchise throughout the 2025-26 campaign.

Former Bucks teammate of Antetokounmpo, Patrick Beverley, dismissed Turner’s claims and called him out for making such statements.

A damn snitch. I played for the Milwaukee Bucks. I’ve never seen Giannis Antetokounmpo late one time. I played for the Clippers, or for the Bucks with Doc Rivers. He was a player in the past, and he’s very lenient when it comes to practicing. So for him to get on a platform and discuss his head coach and main player, especially coming from a team where people expected a lot more from Myles Turner, is an issue.

Patrick Beverley spent half a season in the Bucks with Giannis Antetokounmpo. The former NBA player had a first-hand view of Antetokounmpo behind the scenes and during practice sessions. He revealed that he never saw the Greek superstar late even once during his time in Milwaukee.

Myles Turner made headlines for name-dropping Antetokounmpo as someone who shows up whenever he wants. Turner’s statements are just another addition to the long list of problems in the club at the moment.

The Bucks and Doc Rivers parted ways after failing to make the playoffs this year. Trade rumors continue to swirl regarding the future of Antetokounmpo in the franchise.

Bobby Portis Jr. thought Myles Turner’s statements were AI

Bobby Portis and Giannis Antetokounmpo have a good relationship with one another. The two have spent six seasons together in Milwaukee and even helped the Bucks lift the NBA championship in 2021.

Hence, Myles Turner’s statements about the former two-time MVP took even Portis Jr. by surprise.

I thought it was AI. I just never seen that or heard that before. Culture always been great for us. Obviously, superstar players get treated differently. Not saying my guy was 2.5 hours late or whatever. I’ve never been on a team where anyone was 2.5 hours late. I think it was over-exaggerated, there ain’t that much traffic in Milwaukee!

Turner’s latest statements could create some friction in the locker room if he returns to the Bucks next season. The center had an average 2025-26 campaign by his standards after leading the Indiana Pacers to the NBA Finals last year.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is already looking for houses in Miami

The Bucks have a big decision to make in the offseason regarding the future of their star forward. The front office will need to decide whether to continue building around their franchise player or hit the reset button after their poor campaign.

Former NFL star Chad Johnson recently revealed that his sources have told him that Giannis Antetokounmpo is already looking for houses down in Miami.

As I’ve told you all, I think during the season or early in the season that Giannis is already searching for a house down here in Miami. So he will be down here in Miami. I don’t want to spill the beans too much.

Chad Johnson on Nightcap

There is no doubt that there will be plenty of suitors for Antetokounmpo. While the Bucks failed to make it to the playoffs this year, he put up impressive numbers as he averaged 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in 36 appearances.
