Jake Paul has long remained UFC’s most outspoken critics, frequently calling out the promotion over fighter pay and contract restrictions. The boxer also entered the sport by launching MVP MMA under Most Valuable Promotions. After viewership figures for UFC Freedom 250 were revealed, Paul has now begun comparing them to those for MVP MMA 1, the promotion’s debut event held in May 2026.
Recently released figures showed that UFC Freedom 250 averaged seven million viewers in the United States on Paramount+. Across the United States and Latin America, the historic White House event attracted nearly 17 million total viewers. The broadcast also became the most-watched exclusive live event in Paramount+ history, with additional global viewership figures still pending release.
The figures also fell short of the lofty expectations previously outlined by UFC CEO Dana White. Before the event, White suggested the White House card could surpass Super Bowl viewership and potentially approach one billion viewers worldwide. Following the release of the numbers, Jake Paul took a shot at UFC Freedom 250 by posting an Instagram Story comparing its audience to MVP MMA 1.
1st event vs 329th event. Where y’all at UFC?

MVP MMA 1 posted massive numbers on Netflix, with the event headlined by UFC legend Ronda Rousey and women’s MMA pioneer Gina Carano.
The card averaged 12.4 million viewers globally and peaked at nearly 17 million during the main event. In the United States alone, the event averaged 9.3 million viewers and peaked at 11.6 million, making it one of the most-watched MMA broadcasts ever.
Paul has never missed a chance to take shots at White and the UFC. He was also among the early critics of UFC Freedom 250, arguing that the matchmaking fell short of the expectations set by the promotion and its buildup. However, White sneakily shifted attention from MVP MMA 1 by announcing UFC superstar Conor McGregor‘s UFC 329 return against Max Holloway while the event was streaming live on Netflix.
Their rivalry began when ‘The Problem Child’ accused the UFC CEO of underpaying fighters and joined former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in pushing for better pay. Since then, Paul and White have remained at odds, frequently criticizing each other over major UFC developments. The latest exchange adds another chapter to the long-running feud between Jake Paul and Dana White.
Fans call out Jake Paul for trolling UFC Freedom 250
While the viewership numbers for UFC Freedom 250 fell short of expectations, the event itself received widespread praise from fans. The card delivered several exciting fights, capped off by Justin Gaethje upsetting formerly undefeated Ilia Topuria to win the lightweight title. The result carried added significance as an American fighter won the main event of the UFC’s historic White House card.

Many fans pushed back against Jake Paul’s comparison, arguing that MVP MMA 1 relied heavily on the star power of names such as Ronda Rousey and Nate Diaz. Several users claimed UFC Freedom 250 featured a stronger lineup and more exciting fights throughout the stacked card. Fans also pointed to the White House setting, describing it as a spectacle that went beyond viewership numbers.
Oh poor Jake, he thought this was a flex 😂

Acting like MVP is the reason it did viewership

Yall just paid the money to the names and had Netflix put it on
If White House was on Netflix that shit would’ve done 50 mill
Netflix + most the fighters who sold the card were built up by the UFC

Netflix=325 million subscribers
— Nightime04 (@nightime04) June 19, 2026
Paramount+=80 million
Still not sure how the ufc was calculating SB numbers. I’d like to find that answer.
You can’t compare cos his was on @netflix which every household has. Also look at both main events. @paramountplus had the greatest main event of all time and Netflix had worst main event of all time.

If ufc freedom 250 was on Netflix it would of shattered the views

UFC on Paramount doesn't exist in my Country, we have Viaplay.
— KSI Fandom (@JJtheGoatKSIfan) June 19, 2026
Netflix however exists everywhere
Jake doesn't know a world outside of America
Well I do know the UFC event wasn't dog crap like the Netflix event so yeah whatever.

Other fans highlighted the major difference in platform reach when comparing the two events. Several users pointed out that Netflix has more than 300 million subscribers worldwide, while Paramount+ has roughly 90 million. Fans argued that UFC Freedom 250 was available on a much smaller platform, making direct comparisons with MVP MMA 1’s viewership figures misleading.
