Iga Swiatek will be competing at Wimbledon as the defending champion. In last year’s final, Swiatek double-bageled Amanda Anisimova.
But Swiatek is not at all enjoying good form coming into this tournament. She has reached just one semifinal this year and has yet to win a title since the 2025 Korea Open. This Wimbledon will mark the return of Serena Williams in singles.

Sabalenka could face fellow four-time Grand Slam singles champion Naomi Osaka in the fourth round, and this year’s French Open champion Mirra Andreeva in the quarterfinals. Emma Raducanu, Jelena Ostapenko, Karolina Muchova, and Qinwen Zheng are also part of this quarter.
Quarterfinal prediction: Aryna Sabalenka vs. Mirra Andreeva
Second Quarter
Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff are the top two seeds. Gauff has played two finals this year, losing both. She also suffered an early exit at the Berlin Open.

Pegula could face rising star Iva Jovic in the fourth round, while Gauff could meet Belinda Bencic in the fourth round. The other seeded players in this quarter are Anastasia Potapova, Ekaterina Alexandrova, Anna Kalinskaya, and Ann Li.
Quarterfinal prediction: Coco Gauff vs. Jessica Pegula
Third Quarter
Defending champion Iga Swiatek is part of this quarter. And if she reaches the third round, she could square off against none other than 23-time Grand Slam singles champion Serena Williams.

The two Ukrainian players, Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk, could play against each other in the fourth round. This quarter also features Jasmine Paolini, Paola Badosa, Donna Vekic, Emma Navarro, and Alexandra Eala.
Quarterfinal prediction: Elina Svitolina vs. Iga Swiatek
Fourth Quarter
Amanda Anisimova and Elena Rybakina are projected to face each other in the quarterfinals. Rybakina is one of the very few players in the draw who have won the title at SW19.

Back in 2022, she defeated Ons Jabeur in the final. Anisimova could meet last year’s Australian Open champion, Madison Keys, in the third round.
Quarterfinal prediction: Amanda Anisimova vs. Elena Rybakina
Semifinals
It’s tough to decide between Sabalenka and Andreeva because they have given each other tough competition in recent years, even though the Belarusian holds a 4-2 head-to-head lead. Gauff has never reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, while Pegula recently played the Berlin Open.

Swiatek lost to Navarro in the Bad Homburg Open opening round, which was also the second time this season that the Pole suffered an opening-round exit. Rybakina won her only match against Anisimova.
Semifinals prediction:
- Aryna Sabalenka vs. Jessica Pegula
- Elina Svitolina vs. Elena Rybakina
Final
Sabalenka, even though she has never won a final on grass, has done well at Wimbledon. Rybakina is a one-time champion on grass, winning the 2022 Wimbledon.

When it comes to the head-to-head matchups, the World No.1 holds a 10-7 lead over the World No.2. Sabalenka also won their last two meetings, in the final of this year’s Indian Wells and the semifinal of this year’s Miami Open.
But the 28-year-old suffered defeat at the hands of the Kazakh ace in the final of this year’s Australian Open. Rybakina is chasing her third Grand Slam title.
