LeBron James Joining Anthony Edwards & Wolves Makes Perfect Basketball Sense, Claims Kendrick Perkins

The teams rumored to be closing in on LeBron James are the Golden State Warriors, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Miami Heat.

Their rosters are close to what many believe will help the ‘King’ potentially fight for another championship or two. Even though several detractors are pointing out both deficiencies in the teams and sounding out the moral board, they are still in the race.

In fact, with every passing day, pitches from players of either team are changing the odds for their respective teams. It has come to the point where many analysts believe that no team is ahead of the other.

There were a few other teams that were supposedly in the running. The San Antonio Spurs were one of them, where one of their players sent a voice memo to James.

Then the rumors of joining Nikola Jokic at the Nuggets came about and died instantly. Lastly, the Minnesota Timberwolves were rumored to be in the running.

The best fit for Bron is Minnesota… Basketball-wise… If you’re talking about plugging him into a space where he can go now and compete for a title… If you look at what they’re missing, all they’re missing is that quote, unquote ‘some small or power forward to fill that part of Julius Randle that takes them over the hump.’

Kendrick Perkins said

Kendrick Perkins tells Rich Paul the Timberwolves are the best fit for LeBron James:

“If you’re talking about plugging him into a space where he can go now and compete for a title. Now, I’m not saying he’s going to be happy but Anthony Edwards do bring you joy, okay? LaMelo Ball… pic.twitter.com/9TojPi0XJX

The former center said this directly to LeBron James’ agent, Rich Paul, during an appearance on The Game Over Podcast. Perkins reiterated that playing alongside Anthony Edwards will give the free agent superstar the ‘joy’ he is seeking. Moreover, the latter will make them championship-ready.

Max Kellerman agrees with Kendrick Perkins’ LeBron James-Wolves take

As soon as Kendrick Perkins finished the opening part of his analogy, Game Over podcast co-host Max Kellerman chimed in to add a few pointers.

The championship wisdom that LeBron brings… What’s the criticism on Melo? He’s young, he’s inexperienced… LeBron James on that team fixes all of that.

Max Kellerman said

The former First Take analyst pointed out that it might frustrate some when LeBron James chooses not to be defensively engaged in the regular season. He will probably choose to exert his effort in that department in the postseason.

However, the Timberwolves are deep defensively, which means the four-time champion will not be tasked to do much. To this point, Perkins added that James’ presence will make Rudy Gobert a better defender.

When Kellerman asked him to elaborate, the ESPN analyst added that his former Cavaliers teammate’s IQ alone will elevate the entire Minnesota Timberwolves squad both offensively and defensively.

Paul was intently listening to this for a while, knowing that the franchise with Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball does make sense. But it is up to his No. 1 client, and to a certain extent, the franchise and those players.

Anthony Edwards has reached out to LeBron James

While these two analysts made a compelling argument about LeBron James joining the Minnesota Timberwolves, there were rumors that, aside from the franchise’s interest, no player had reached out to the four-time league MVP.

According to top-tier institutional sources close to the situation, the connection between the two Olympic teammates has already been activated. “They telling you, Ant Edwards never reached out to him. That’s a lie,” a source close to the process tells me point-blank. “He did. He reached out to him and it was received.”

Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson revealed

The insider had earlier claimed that Anthony Edwards had not reached out to his Paris Olympics teammate about joining the Timberwolves.

Now, after speaking with sources, it has been clarified that the young superstar has indeed established contact. That means the Wolves will be considered among the favorites to win the LeBron James sweepstakes.
