There is no doubt that Kevin Durant is one of the greatest players ever to play in the NBA. He has played for 18 seasons and a number of franchises throughout his career. Durant has won two championships and numerous other individual honors, and is widely regarded as the greatest pure scorer the game has ever seen.

For all his achievements and accomplishments, Durant does have a funny side as well off the court. He is well known for engaging with fans and calling out people on social media.

The Houston Rockets star responded to a post that listed nine analysts and asked fans to choose one to remove. Durant called out Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright on his Instagram stories on Tuesday. He initially picked Cowherd before changing his answer to Wright.

In his first story, he wrote:

Pack that lame (Colin Cowherd) up.

On the next story, he took his shot at Wright, tagging him as well:

Basketball would actually move forward if (Nick Wright) wasn’t involved. Hold up.

Durant has been caught up in controversy when it comes to social media in the past. He loves responding to his critics, and this time, it was Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright on the receiving end of his response.

Cowherd made headlines recently when he said Jaylen Brown has a “disease” after the Boston Celtics shocked the NBA world by trading him to the Philadelphia 76ers. His statements on Brown saw him face criticism for citing “anonymous sources”.

Meanwhile, Wright has always been a huge fan of LeBron James. He is known for making bold statements and was caught up in a beef with the Ball family after his criticism of LaMelo Ball. Hence, it is not surprising to see Durant calling out the two sports analysts on social media.

Kevin Durant drops 1-word declaration on Jaylen Brown’s fit with 76ers

After the blockbuster trade of Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat, the trade that caught everyone by surprise was Brown’s move to the 76ers. Not only was he traded to a team with championship aspirations, but he was also traded to a direct rival of the Celtics.

When asked about Brown’s move to the 76ers, Durant had a one-word response.

Dangerous. It’s going to be exciting. I’m happy for him. A fresh start. Philly fans are going to love him.

The move sees Brown join forces with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in Philly. After getting clean swept by eventual champions the New York Knicks in the second round, the 76ers will fancy their chances of going all the way if fit and healthy.

Kevin Durant needs to deliver a championship for the Houston Rockets

Kevin Durant has cemented his legacy as one of the greats of the game. While no one can doubt his talent and skill, he has often been criticized for jumping from one club to another in search of a championship.

The 37-year-old has two championships to his name and was named the Finals MVP in both years. However, both his titles came alongside Stephen Curry in Golden State. Since his departure from the club in 2019, Durant has played for three different franchises and has won just two playoff series.

After his failed stint in Phoenix, Durant was traded to the Houston Rockets in the offseason last year. Some criticized the move, believing he was chasing rings. While Durant was impressive in the regular season, he could play just one game in the first round of the playoffs against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Rockets’ season came to an end in the first round, and it was another disappointing campaign for the former MVP. Therefore, heading into the 2026-27 campaign, Durant will be under some pressure to deliver a championship and show that he can win a title outside of Golden State.
