While Lavar Ball never made a name for himself as an athlete, he has to be credited for the role he has played in bringing up Lonzo Ball and LaMelo Ball. Both brothers have made a name for themselves and have bagged multi-million-dollar deals over the years. Lavar is well known for grabbing headlines with his takes and statements, and he has done so once again.
Being the parent that he is, Lavar often comes to the defense of his sons. He unleashed a heated rant against Nick Wright. The Fox Sports analyst called out LaMelo for being a “clown” and a highly immature player.
We got folks these over here who aren’t even commenting on the game, and talking about that somebody is a clown? Has Nick Wright ever looked in the mirror? I bet you if you look at the dictionary right now, and you look up a clown, you’re gonna see two things: one, you’re gonna see somebody with long hair on their sides and a big nose. Yeah, that’s Nick Wright, a clown in itself. He’s been a clown ever since I’ve known him. So don’t ever curl your lips and say a Ball boy is a clown.

LaMelo Ball has a strong father-son relationship with Lavar Ball. While Lavar is known for his controversial statements, he will never back away when it comes to supporting his son. As seen in his latest rant, Lavar did not hold himself back and came up with sizzling tirades against Nick Wright.
LaMelo has been facing criticism for his dirty play on Bam Adebayo during the Play-In Tournament between the Charlotte Hornets and Miami Heat. The controversial play saw LaMelo swiping at Adebayo’s legs, causing the center to fall and injure his lower back.
Nick Wright calls LaMelo Ball a clown
The Hornets guard has apologized for the dangerous play. However, that has not stopped him from receiving flak from the NBA community. One of them is sports analyst Nick Wright.

Wright criticized LaMelo for his actions and labeled him as a “clown” for his immaturity.
That young man is a clown, and has been a clown forever. The way he conducts himself on the court and it would appear off the court is that of an immature coddled teenager.

The injury caused to Adebayo early in the second quarter saw him ruled out for the remainder of the game. It turned out to be a crucial moment in the match as the Hornets ended up with a 127-126 overtime victory over the Heat. LaMelo posted an impressive double-double as he scored a game-high 30 points to go along with five rebounds and ten assists.
Lonzo Ball fires back at Nick Wright after LaMelo Ball criticism
After Lavar posted a video of his rant, LaMelo’s brother, Lonzo Ball, joined his father in calling out Nick Wright. It has been a while since Lonzo was last seen on an NBA court. He was traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Utah Jazz at the trade deadline this year. However, the former second overall pick was waived off by the Jazz on the same day.
The oldest brother came in defense of LaMelo. He took to X to hit back at Wright.
Nick Wright a b*m!

The NBA is now investigating the dirty play by LaMelo. But it is highly unlikely that they will take any action on the Hornets star. If he does not get suspended, LaMelo will have the opportunity to take his team to their first playoff appearance in ten years as they take on the Orlando Magic for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. The Play-In Game is scheduled to take place at the Kia Center on Friday.
