With the regular season coming to an end, Wednesday night saw an enthralling game as the Charlotte Hornets came out on top in a close 127-126 overtime victory over the Miami Heat. It was a nail-biting game from start to finish.
The match was filled with drama as LaMelo Ball made a dirty play in the second quarter that caused an injury to Bam Adebayo. The dangerous play was heavily criticized by Erik Spoelstra after the game. The head coach believed that the questionable action warranted an ejection. However, that was not the only reason the game grabbed a lot of attention.
Amazon Prime secured an 11-year broadcasting deal with the NBA starting from the 2025-26 campaign. The deal granted Prime the exclusive right to stream the Play-In Tournament. Unfortunately, it has not gotten off to the best of starts.
The broadcast went dark for nearly two full minutes as viewers missed 22 seconds of the game in overtime. Luckily, there was no disruption after that. Since this is the first year of the broadcasting deal that they signed with the NBA, everyone will hope that they will learn from this experience.

Honestly, I’d be annoyed too ! There’s nothing worse than the game cutting off right in the middle of the action. pic.twitter.com/UZFPfWsPII

Is it a crash or is the game just gaslighting us? 🧠 If this is one of those 'Fourth Wall' breaks where the character 'deletes' the game, I’m throwing my console out the window. You aren't trippin, we’re all currently staring at our own reflections in the black screen.

LeBron James is hyped for the playoffs
LeBron James had a remarkable 23rd season in the NBA. While he may not have had the same impact and numbers as he once did, he still had a very good 2025-26 campaign. He ended his season averaging 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists in 60 appearances.

The Los Angeles Lakers finished fourth in the Western Conference standings. With the playoffs underway on Saturday, James is excited and hyped for it.
It’s going to be litty. I’m looking forward to it. I mean me personally like I don’t know how many more postseasons I got left in my career. And we talked about this a while ago, like getting ready for the postseason, like that moment, like it doesn’t matter what you did in the regular season. That sh*t is out the window now. Like it. Doesn’t matter. Like it starts again. This is it. So, I’m excited, man. I can’t wait.
