While teams await LeBron James to make a decision about his future, several rumors and opinions are being thrown around about the fit with every team.
The race is almost over for the Denver Nuggets, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and possibly the San Antonio Spurs. That leaves the Golden State Warriors, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat, and the Philadelphia 76ers as viable options.
Most of the rumors suggest that the King is taking his time to think about where he can both be ‘happy’ and contend for a championship.
At the same time, some opinions try to dissect which move makes the most sense, considering that his legacy is on the line if the decision ends up being a mistake. Then, some take the narrative in a different direction, such as Byron Scott.
All the antics, the people that’s working with, you know, Rich Paul and all those guys and all the other stuff that goes along with it… Do you have to get Bronny James out of his Laker deal? You know, so there is a lot of layers to it when you’re talking about bringing LeBron along.
Byron Scott said on Fast Break
The 65-year-old made it clear that this was not a hate-based opinion from him. Rather, he believes that LeBron James could still be a great player even at his ripe age of 41.
Byron Scott says NBA teams are looking at LeBron James saying do we want to take him for just 1 year with all the sh*t that comes with it:

However, with the superstar that close to retirement, Scott wondered why teams would be willing to take on the ‘antics’ that have been a part of his legacy.
Fans tear into Byron Scott for labeling LeBron James as ‘problematic’
While a good deal of might not doubt Byron Scott’s opinion that Bronny James would likely be a package deal with his father, others questioned why the Lakers’ great would go on to bring in something to criticize a player who brought his team a championship.
Fans remarked that before LeBron James announced his departure from the Lakers, Scott was the one loudly asking the team to move on from him. Therefore, fans believe that all these instances clearly show how much he despises the superstar. Check out examples of those reactions below.

Byron Scott is legitimately getting on Soloman Hill’s level.

I had no clue he held this hatred all these years. He was probably petty asf when LeBron delivered the title in 2020.
Let’s criticize how terrible he was as a head coach lmao
Somebody find @official_bscott something to do. He starting sound like a jilted lover like @RealSkipBayless and @SoundbiteKing in

Phone lines haven’t rung for the failed coach in 15 years, now he wants to use a one-man agenda to launch a new career. Tale old as time.

@official_bscott we get it champ. Every time you get a chance you and @OldenPolynice1 put a negative spin on most topics involving this guy. I don't know, maybe you're still upset that he left right after you took the Cleveland job. I don't know but at this point, it's overkill.

Byron knows if he talks about Luka or any star in the NBA doesn’t generate any traction on his podcast.

Byron Scott wanted him off of The Lakers & now that is you still can’t stop talking about him 🤔

The negative obsession these old men have with Lebron James is a fascinating/informative reflection of our broader culture. I'll leave it at that.

Fans questioned whether Byron Scott‘s hatred for James stems from the fact that the forward left before the former was able to coach him at the Cleveland Cavaliers. Many felt that maybe the Lakers’ great somewhere blames James for costing him his coaching career.
There are enough ‘official’ instances of teams throwing their pitches at James. That is why fans felt that Scott was trying to create a narrative, even though the evidence says teams are fine with James’ so-called ‘baggage.’
Byron Scott does not think LeBron James joining any team will win a championship
After talking about LeBron James’ ‘baggage,’ Scott then went on to state what he thinks is the reality for any team looking to sign the four-time league MVP.

You could be successful. But the teams that we’re talking about that really are looking at LeBron right now, that Rich Paul said that are looking at LeBron right now, are teams that maybe can get to the next level, and that next level ain’t a championship team or winning a championship.
Scott said
The Utah native does not believe that any of the teams looking to sign James will step up to become championship favorites. They will be successful, but a title fight is off the table.
