Free Agent LeBron James Gets a Winning-Oriented Pitch From 76ers President Bob Myers: “You Can Win Here in Philly”
The Philadelphia 76ers are seriously interested in bringing superstar forward LeBron James to their team.

It has been more than a week since LeBron James announced that he was leaving the Los Angeles Lakers and becoming a free agent. What that meant was that teams would now have a chance to pitch themselves to the four-time champion in hopes of getting him to play for them.
The moment he announced his decision, the Golden State Warriors were the first to be linked to the superstar. The logic was that he enjoyed his time playing alongside Stephen Curry at the Paris Olympics.
Then, being close friends with Draymond Green, the odds were stacked in their favor. The only caveat was that they needed to get their hands on Anthony Davis.
But for that, they would have to execute an extremely expensive trade with the Washington Wizards, as the latter would not give up on their center for nothing. Once the Wizards made it clear that they were not interested, any trade the Warriors dropped out of contention.
On the other hand, the Miami Heat started to gain traction as a possible destination, and the Cleveland Cavaliers were always in the mix. Then, after the Philadelphia 76ers brought in Jaylen Brown, the franchise immediately became one of the top destinations for him.
If he was here, I’d say, ‘I honestly believe this is your best chance to win’… What I would just say is, ‘If it’s about winning, let’s talk about this team. Because you can win here in Philly.’

This was Bob Myers, the man who was the architect behind the Warriors’ four championships. If anything, LeBron James has tremendous respect for him, and this open pitch would definitely pique his interest.
Warriors faithful believe Bob Myers can lure LeBron James to Philly
The current president of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment made it clear that his franchise will give The League’s all-time leading scorer a chance to add to his collection of Rings.
There are very few executives and coaches in the league who could tempt LeBron James into a discussion, as the 41-year-old respects only a handful of people, and one of them happens to be Bob Myers.
Bob Myers has juice. He can get anybody on the phone… Everybody knows who he is, and that could get you at any table. He’s at the table right now for Lebron James with Philadelphia.

No wonder, even Warriors Fans and analysts believe that their former GM has the upper hand in this race. They admitted that it was weird for them to hear Myers talk about James joining another team. But agreed that it is a possibility with the 51-year-old leading the charge.

There is a reason why the 76ers’ owners roped Myers into not just making decisions about the basketball team, but also their hockey franchise, as well as their NFL team, the Washington Commanders.
Then, there is a part where Myers actually appeared on Rich Paul, James’s agent’s, podcast, Game Over. Fans believe that this was the biggest indication that the 76ers are absolutely in play as much as, or may even have a slight edge over, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Championship with 76ers will make LeBron James a Philadelphia hero
LeBron James might be interested in returning home, as many are speculating. But this entire full-force pitch from Bob Myers and the Philadelphia 76ers could probably lean him towards going to Pennsylvania.

The pitch part aside. Philadelphia fans know how LeBron James has tormented the 76ers the entire time he has been in the league. Therefore, there will be questions about whether they would accept him.
The Philadelphia sports fan would absolutely love LeBron James, especially if he finished the job. There is a 43-year championship drought for the Sixers.

This is coming from a journalist who has covered the four-time league MVP for the majority of his career. He believes the stakes are high, especially since the franchise has not won a title in a long time. But if James does end their drought, he will be a hero for life.
