When the Miami Heat traded for Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks, LeBron James was seemingly linked with a return to the franchise that won him his first two NBA titles.

That was before James decided that he would no longer play for the Los Angeles Lakers, ending his eight-year run with the franchise.

Once he became a free agent, naturally, the Golden State Warriors, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Heat were considered frontrunners for his signature, but so were others.

The Philadelphia 76ers, especially after the Jaylen Brown trade, became a possibility. On top of that, the Minnesota Timberwolves were supposedly in touch with his agent, Rich Paul.

Despite all those rumors and links, which even included the Denver Nuggets, some believe that the four-time champion would move East.

Touch my heart, bro… Don’t do that to me. Give me a heart attack. Haaaahhhh, there is a chance.

Giannis Antetokounmpo said

This was the Greek Freak’s reaction when N3on‘s live stream pranked him into thinking that LeBron James had moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

His reaction suggests that either he was shocked to know that one of his favorite players ended up joining an Eastern Conference rival. Or, it could be that he was hoping for the league’s all-time leading scorer to join the Miami Heat.

Both teams, and the others, are still in play as Rich Paul continues to monitor what each team does with its roster. James has made it clear that he wants to join a contender. Until and unless he is satisfied with the roster at hand, he will not make a decision.

Giannis Antetokounmpo names LeBron James his ‘favorite’

Once Giannis Antetokounmpo seemingly made it clear that he would like it if LeBron James joined the Miami Heat, N3on then went on to ask him who his GOAT was.

You can’t compare eras. But the person I like to watch a lot is LeBron James.

Antetokounmpo replied

The two-time league MVP made it clear that he is not one to name one player as the all-time GOAT. He believes that every era was different.

He made it clear that he loves to watch the four-time champion go about his business on the court. But at the same time, he also confirmed that Michael Jordan was his GOAT.

The former Defensive Player of the Year was seemingly reluctant to name one player because that is how he has maintained his opinion about the GOAT debate for this long.

As much as fans and members of the media try to argue and prove one is above the other, Antetokounmpo pointed out to N3on that Jordan and James are one and two, either way one sees it.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to wear a new number with Heat

Throughout his 13-year playing career, Giannis Antetokounmpo wore No. 34 on his chest. It was the combination of the last digits of the years in which his parents were born.

Now that he is going to wear the red and white of the Miami Heat, fans were expecting the 6’11” star to continue that tradition. Mock-ups of him wearing the Heat’s colors with No. 34 emblazoned on his front have been circulating since the trade.

That’s not a bad number. I might take that. You want me to?… Okay, #7 it is.

Antetokounmpo said

This was the father of four’s response when N3on asked him if he was willing to change his jersey number. When the streamer suggested going for No. 7, Antetokounmpo agreed instantly.

Naturally, this was predetermined, as there was no reaction or opposition from anyone, including the superstar’s brother, Alex Antetokounmpo. That means he is combining the two digits he has worn to frame the new number.
