The NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday at North Wilkesboro saw 23XI Racing Bubba Wallace being a challenger to win the race for the second straight week and unlike the Atlanta finish he had luck on his side. His P2 finish in the Superspeedway was voided as punishment for a yellow line infraction on the final lap, but this time he was able to keep the P6 finish.
It was a challenging race for everyone involved as the heat and weather offered drivers a different dynamic. Talking about it to the media, the No:23 Toyota driver admitted it was the adrenaline that kept him in the fight and as soon as he took some rest post-race, the affecter effect of the tough race was visible.
The heat was OK. I was actually fine in the car. It’s just the adrenaline. As soon as you end, I could still run another hundred laps. But as soon as you stop and reset, that’s when the adrenaline just leaves the building.
Bubba Wallace said after the North Wilkesboro race.
He couldn’t pass the opportunity to take a shot at NASCAR, as he joked about not having a rule infarction on the final lap and get punished for it. Bubba Wallace and his team have now shifted their focus to the upcoming race at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with momentum on their side.
So, all in all, good night for our Coca-Cola team. No yellow line and fractions. I get to keep my finishing position. And yeah, it sets us up nice for the Brickyard next week, which we have a lot of confidence and momentum going into. So, I’m excited for that.

Bubba Wallace is ready to chase championship and get back to running upfront at Indy
Later talking about his race, the veteran highlighted how the No:23 team is producing the consistent results he has been looking for the whole season. He believes with the average of 6-8, they can secure a spot in the chase for the championship.

Just another clean race. I keep saying it. Clean races. Our average finish is around sixth to eighth. And there we are. So, we’re not happy with that. But we know that’s good enough to lock ourselves into the Chase and go compete for a Championship.
Bubba Wallace said.
Furthermore, he highlighted how he is going to approach the Brickyard 400 one session at a time. He wants to produce a solid run starting from practice, as he is the defending race winner for the crown jewel race.
All in all, good night here. On to Indy… Got a crawl before you walk. So, let’s get through practice and qualifying, and we’ll be ready to pounce.
Bubba Wallace added.
The comments from the TRD driver shows he is confident in his as well as his teams’ ability to produce a clean run and potentially defend his trophy. It would be interesting to see if the 23XI driver can kiss the brick yet again this Sunday.
