Real Madrid players led the way for club-based goal contributions at the 2026 FIFA World Cup as several of the world’s biggest stars delivered in front of goal and in the final third.

The tournament concluded Sunday after 104 matches across North America, with Spain defeating Argentina in the final 1-0. The expanded competition produced 308 goals, the highest total in World Cup history.

Real Madrid players scored 22 goals during the tournament, the most of any club. Kylian Mbappé led the way with 10 goals, while Jude Bellingham scored seven and Vinícius Júnior added four. Arda Güler also scored once for Türkiye.

Mbappé also recorded four assists, while Real Madrid’s Brahim Díaz finished among the tournament’s assist leaders with four. The French forward finished as the World Cup’s top scorer and became the first player to win the Golden Boot twice.

Paris Saint-Germain players followed with 15 goals. Ousmane Dembélé scored six for France, while Bradley Barcola added three. Désiré Doué, Ibrahim Mbaye, João Neves, Nuno Mendes, Achraf Hakimi and Fabián Ruiz also scored during the tournament.

Dembélé was among the leading performers in the tournament, while Hakimi helped Morocco reach the latter stages. Ruiz scored for Spain during its run to the title.

Arsenal players combined for 13 goals. Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka scored three each, while Mikel Merino and Leandro Trossard added two apiece. Viktor Gyökeres, Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice also found the net.

Merino scored two late match-winners for Spain during its knockout-stage run, while Saka scored a hat-trick for England in the bronze medal match against France.

Bayern Munich players scored 12 goals. Harry Kane led the club’s tally with six goals for England, while Ismael Saibari scored three for Morocco. Luis Díaz, Nathaniel Brown and Jamal Musiala each scored once.

Kane finished joint fifth in the tournament’s scoring charts, while Michael Olise, another Bayern player, led all players with seven assists.

Inter Miami’s contribution came almost entirely through Lionel Messi. The Argentina captain scored eight goals, the second-highest total at the tournament, and also recorded four assists.

Crystal Palace players scored eight goals. Ismaïla Sarr led the club with four goals for Senegal, while Daichi Kamada and Daniel Muñoz scored twice each.

Manchester United also reached eight goals through its players. Matheus Cunha scored three for Brazil, while Amad Diallo scored twice for Côte d’Ivoire. Lisandro Martínez, Casemiro and Marcus Rashford each added one.

Sunderland players also combined for eight goals. Bryan Brobbey scored three for the Netherlands, Habib Diarra scored twice for Senegal, and Nilson Angulo, Wilson Isidor and Granit Xhaka each scored once.

The club contributions came as several players from the same teams dominated the tournament’s individual statistical categories.

Kylian Mbappé led the scoring charts with 10 goals, followed by Lionel Messi with eight. Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham scored seven each, while Kane and Dembélé finished with six apiece.

Michael Olise led the tournament with seven assists. Bruno Guimarães, Mbappé, Martin Ødegaard, Brahim Díaz and Messi each recorded four.

Messi completed the most dribbles with 28, narrowly ahead of Lamine Yamal’s 27. Bellingham finished third with 18, while Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior and Olise each completed 16.

Spain midfielder Rodri led the tournament in completed passes with 811 and also won the most tackles with 26. Messi created the most chances with 26, while Mbappé, Olise, Dembélé and Hakimi each created 18.

Mbappé also recorded the highest expected goals figure at 6.87, ahead of Messi at 5.28 and Haaland at 4.43. The numbers highlighted the influence of the leading club stars throughout the 2026 World Cup.
