Indiana Pacers' guard Tyrese Haliburton enjoyed dumping the New York Knicks out of the playoffs with his clutch shooting.

The last year has seen Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton enjoy the highest of highs of his career and personal life, while also experiencing the lowest of lows.
The career highlight was when his clutch shooting helped his team obliterate opponents on the way to the NBA Finals and come within an inch of lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
He and his teammates could have overcome that inch had he not torn his Achilles tendon in Game 7. That meant he would miss the entire 2025-26 season as he focused on recovering.
Then, he watched his team become a subject of the tanking controversy in the league and also faced fines. But that was nothing compared to what he witnessed in the playoffs.
Haliburton had to watch the New York Knicks, the very team that he had made a habit of defeating with intent, go on and win the NBA championship. But that has not stopped him from believing that had he been there, things may have been different.
I run New York.

This was the 26-year-old singing along to 50 Cent‘s song, I Got Money, at his wedding reception. Ironically, the great rapper was at the event, leading Haliburton, his wife, Jade Jones, and the guests into this song.
Knicks fans tear into Tyrese Haliburton
Even though 50 Cent and Tyrese Haliburton probably sang the entire song together, it was this particular part that caught the public, or, more importantly, Knicks fans’ attention.
They felt that this was the Pacers guard being delusional since he hasn’t won anything, whereas their team is the defending champions. On the other hand, many flamed the newly married star for trying to mock their team. Check out examples of those reactions below.

Tyrese Haliburton made himself part of Knicks’ folklore after he re-enacted Reggie Miller‘s famous choke celebration during the 2025 Western Conference Finals. Maybe he strongly believes that he is about to inflict pain on New Yorkers again now that he is returning.
Tyrese Haliburton and Jade Jones complete their emotional bond
This wedding has been seven years in the making after Jade Jones and Tyrese Haliburton first caught each other’s attention back in 2019. At the time, the point guard was already in the sights of NBA scouts, while his now-wife was working through her paces as a cheerleader.

Since graduating, the two have been living together, and Jones has been beside him during his struggles with the Sacramento Kings. Then, she was also with him when he rose to become one of the league’s best point guards.
But what caught everyone’s attention was how Jones took on older rival fans to defend her then-boyfriend and was with Haliburton on the night he tore his Achilles tendon.
The two-time All-Star has also been in her corner, supporting his fiancée by showering her with praise and love during her bridal shower, and was also there to support her when one of her closest friends passed away during the bachelorette party.
Despite these recent events, the couple decided to tie the knot at a marriage license office in Indiana and are now throwing a party to celebrate with their friends. Next season, Tyrese Haliburton will return to playing basketball, both as a married man and with his eyes set on proving to the game what it was missing.
