MLB Fans Mock Giancarlo Stanton Following His Running Practice: “The Fastest He Has Ever Run”
Giancarlo Stanton has been out of action since April following some tightness in his right calf.

The New York Yankees had some positives regarding Giancarlo Stanton on Tuesday. The 5-time All-Star was seen running around the bases in a practice session as he continues to recover from a calf strain.
The 36-year-old has been out of action since April. In the 12-4 victory over the Houston Astros in April, he suffered some tightness in his right calf. He would miss the next game and would later undergo tests, which revealed that he had strained his calf.
In June, he suffered another setback regarding this injury. While he was running past the bases during a practice session in New York, he felt a tweak, and his return was slowed down.
Last month, manager Aaron Boone admitted that he was “surprised” by the length of his absence. At the start, many expected this issue to be a short-term one.
So Stanton running the bases on Tuesday was seen as a positive sign by the Yankees. In a video, the former National League MVP is seen hustling around the bases at top speed.

Stanton has so far played in only 24 games this season. He was batting with a .256 average while having 6 doubles, 3 home runs, and 14 RBIs.
Fans troll Giancarlo Stanton as he gets closer to return
Giancarlo Stanton’s recovery seems to be heading in the right direction at the moment. On Tuesday, he was seen running around the bases in a video. While this is a good sign for the team, there were some who started trolling the right-handed hitter.

Stanton is known for his power-hitting abilities. The Yankees star is the active MLB leader in career home runs at 456. The one thing he is not known for is his running.
The designated hitter is considered one of the slowest players in MLB. In his 17 years in the big leagues, he has just 43 stolen bases.
Fans on X would thus mock him on Tuesday after he was seen running around the bases. Many users threw in jokes, with one writing, “That’s the fastest he has ever run.“

I guess he’s going to be out another month after this injury.

Yooo… tell him to slow down otherwise he’ll pull a muscle or something

Speaking of Stanton, this is his 7th stint on the injured list since 2021. In the past few seasons, he has missed games due to problems with his left calf, his ankles, his Achilles, his hamstrings, and his elbows. He has not played a full season since 2018, his first year with the Yankees.
Yankees expecting Giancarlo Stanton to return before Aaron Judge
Giancarlo Stanton is back in training. The veteran was seen running circles around the bases on Tuesday. The New York Yankees are currently expecting him to return before their captain, Aaron Judge.

At the moment, the Yankees are without two of their superstars. After Stanton got injured in April, the Bronx Bombers suffered a major blow with the loss of Judge through a rib fracture in June.
Then the team lost Cody Bellinger. The outfielder suffered a hamstring strain in late July and was sidelined for 4 to 6 weeks.
Last week, Judge gave a positive update regarding his health. The reigning American League MVP claimed he was always going to come back later this year and that he had been given the green light to resume some light rehab.
Before the series opener against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday, Aaron Boone was asked whether the return order would be Bellinger, Stanton and then Judge. The Yankees skipper said “probably.”
Aaron Boone said it's "probably" reasonable to expect that Cody Bellinger, Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge to return in that order.

Bellinger is not "too far off" but still dealing with some tightness, Boone said. And there's "a chance" Stanton will need a rehab assignment.…
The Yankees emerged as 4-1 winners on Tuesday and improved their record to 67-52. With the Tampa Bay Rays winning 12-4 against the Athletics, they remain 6 games behind them in the AL East standings.
