With the WNBA MVP race heating up, there are factions of fans supporting either A’ja Wilson, Olivia Miles, or Caitlin Clark. Most of those opinions are based on how the three have performed since the All-Star break, with the latter two inching towards the Aces superstar.

Miles was already having a great rookie season. But after her razzle-dazzle performances in the last month, many believe that she might be the first rookie since Candace Parker to be worthy of winning the most important individual regular-season award.

On the other hand, the Indiana Fever superstar has upped the ante, both in scoring and playmaking, as she sits atop the assists chart heading into the FIBA World Cup break.

The media has been flamed for intentionally promoting the Lynx point guard as an MVP candidate even though her numbers and her overall impact on her team are inferior to those of Clark.

It has been this way since the latter arrived in the WNBA, with certain groups of fans leaning towards one. While doing so, they try to tear down the other. One podcaster, who works with former NBA star Jeff Teague, revealed how an interaction with his ‘biased’ friend turned out.

My friend said he can’t stand Caitlin Clark. I’m like, ‘She killin’, bro. Sorry she’s the wrong color for you.’…. She be killin’ bro.

B Hen said on the Club 520 podcast

After Bishop Henn said this, his colleagues also admitted that they have friends who do not like Caitlin Clark. But all of them unanimously agreed that the point guard is ‘killing it’ at this point, and no amount of criticism from her naysayers is working.

Caitlin Clark’s USA Basketball jersey sold out in two hours

One of the things Bishop Henn also remarked is how Caitlin Clark is drawing all the millions of new fans to the WNBA. Even if some still try to argue along those lines, registering most of the highest-viewed games this season across the league has gone on to certify that.

There are no verified details from the WNBA on how the Iowa native is driving merchandise sales, but USA Basketball might have to work harder to ensure their Clark jerseys are in stock, at least until the upcoming FIBA World Cup is over.

The Fever’s official team store announced that they had stock of Clark’s No. 12 and Aliyah Boston‘s No. 14 jerseys. After roughly two hours, they confirmed that the point guard’s jersey has sold out.

The 24-year-old has made it a habit of selling out merchandise ever since she first set foot in the league. This sellout is another indication that her draw has not diminished.

In fact, if Caitlin Clark has a successful run in both the World Cup and the WNBA playoffs, expect women’s basketball to get a boost that might surpass what she helped the league achieve in her rookie season.

Ted Lasso was there to support Caitlin Clark during impressive win

One of the perks of being the most popular player in the WNBA is when they attract celebrities from across the country. Jason Sudeikis is a hardcore supporter of women’s sports and is a New York Liberty season-ticket holder.

But he has also been going to Caitlin Clark’s games when she was at Iowa. That has continued, and it seems they share a connection, which is why the Hollywood star wore her upcoming Caitlin 1 signature shoes to the premiere of Season 4 of his popular show, Ted Lasso.

As one of the few who have gotten their hands on the Fever star’s signature shoe, Sudeikis decided he was going to wear them again when he arrived at Wintrust Arena to watch her play against the Chicago Sky.

After watching Caitlin Clark put up an impressive 37-point, 10-assist performance, the 50-year-old waited with the friends he brought along until the superstar finished with her post-game interviews.

Then, as she walked past the floor, the three-time All-Star noticed Sudeikis and went over. After exchanging hugs, they chatted for a short while before Clark greeted his friends.
