The NASCAR Cup Series race last Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway witnessed some wild moments with the chaotic one of them being Carson Hocevar and Ryan Balney throwing punches at each other. It was the result of the No:77 Chevy wrecking the No:12 Ford in the third stage of the race.

Ex-race Kenny Wallace talked about the drama on his YouTube channel and talked about how Hocevar should take inspiration from Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s attitude towards aggressive racing. Senior made everyone his enemies and later his friends, unlike Larson who is only making more foes after each week on the track.

You know, back in my day, Dale Earnhardt Sr. trained us. Sr. was smart. He would wreck us, and then after he got done wrecking, he would make friends with us. And this is where I think Carson Hocevar is missing it just a little bit. I know how Carson can quit making all the drivers mad at him. By the way, did you see when the fight was over, Carson went out behind his car.

Kenny Wallace said recently.

Ryan Preece and Josh Berry calling him out soon after the fight, while Carson Hocevar was hyping up the fans shows how they don’t respect him much. So, the Spire Motorsports driver needs to learn to make aggressive moves and later become friend with the same driver to avoid the potential of any future drama.

You know, Carson went behind his car, and he went to the fans. He’s like, come on, come on. Ryan Preece and Josh Berry looked at Carson, and they don’t like him… They don’t like him, so why did everybody like Dale Sr. when Dale Sr. would get done wrecking you? Well, this is my message to Carson. When Dale Sr. would wreck you, he’d see you the next week, and he’d come up there, and he’d put his arm around you. ‘Man, I didn’t mean to get into you. I just meant to rattle your cage.’

Kenny Wallace explains the Dale Sr. factor Carson Hocevar needs

With this attitude of wrecking and making friends, Dale Sr. was able to make the rival drivers give him more space when they are in duels. They knew they will get spun in similar situations and it is better to get out of the way, considering their history together.

But you know why we didn’t block Earnhardt? Because we knew he’d spin us out. Do you know why Earnhardt didn’t have to spin anybody out anymore?  Because all of us drivers, look here, you know, all of us, it could have been Mark Martin, it could have been Rusty Wallace, or it could have been Jeff Gordon. When you look in the mirror and you saw Earnhardt coming, well, guess what we did when Earnhardt got on our ***?

Kenny Wallace said.

The current grid doesn’t have any similar respect for the driver owing to the fact he has hasn’t don’t anything great to earn the space. These racers are not ready to give the youngster the space, as they seem to think he doesn’t deserve it despite the fact that more often than not they get wrecked for that decision.

We got out of his way, and I don’t think these boys have figured that out yet. I don’t think they’ve figured out that when Carson’s coming, get out of the way, because he’s going to spin you out. It’s just that damn simple.

Kenny Wallace added.

The veteran’s points are accurate and if Hocevar can learn the Dale Sr. playbook, there is no one with the superstar potential to match him. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the star driver in the coming years.
