The NASCAR community is still not over the chaos from last weekends night race in the iconic Bristol Motor Speedway. Carson Hocevar spun out Ryan Blaney after an aggressive block from the Ford driver and later that resulted in a fist fight between the duo, attracting national media attention to the sport.

Ahead of the Kansas Cup race, Hocevar talked about the effect of his fight and how its’s going to affect the racing dynamic going forward. He pointed out that the chase is going to be more dramatic and NASCAR as a sport is going to be the biggest winner of the whole drama.

I think everyone is still going to run really aggressively. The big winner in all of this is NASCAR.  The Chase is doing exactly what it is supposed to do.

Carson Hocevar said at Kansas.

Earlier in the same conversation, the youngster Carson Hocevar also shared his thoughts about which type of drivers he would avoid having a fight in the future. He admitted that he might not get into fight with drivers taller than him, as his reach advantage won’t matter in such situations.

I definitely don’t want to run into guys taller than me, because I would definitely get my butt kicked. I have the advantage of height. I don’t know.  I don’t think so.

Carson Hocevar said earlier, as reported by On3.com.

I’m not really sure. Only because I don’t think I was in the wrong on either side.  I think most people, especially drivers and maybe crew guys, think I initiated the racetrack contact and somehow initiated the off-track stuff. It’s been kind of fun for me to see some people see it and see it as a racing deal.  And obviously, then more of a Bristol deal. They put banners on that place for a reason.

Carson Hocevar said.

Further in the same conversation, the racer highlighted how Blaney will get more fans following the incident. The Hocevar haters would have his back anyway, but even the fans of the Spire Motorsport driver would support him as well because he came clean via Denny Hamlin’s Actions Detrimental podcast.

Honestly, it was a cool moment for me and joyful.  I like Ryan, and hopefully my fans respect him a lot more now after all his interviews and everything. know I do.  It was a lot of fun.  Obviously not for him, but it was a joyful moment for us, but we also ran good.

Carson Hocevar added.

The comments from the racers are on point and shows how NASCAR as a sports have an entirely different relationship with the fans. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the star driver in the coming days.
