Joe Burrow missed the chance to meet with US Vice President and lifelong Bengals fan, JD Vance, during his visit to the facility on Wednesday. Burrow then revealed the reason after practice.

As midterm elections rapidly approach, key figures from both Democratic and Republican parties are touring every state. Vance and President Donald Trump have been extremely active in the last few days.

After delivering a speech in Ohio, Vance took a detour and visited the Bengals during their practice. Bengals beat reporter Kelsey Clowney uploaded a clip of Vance’s impromptu visit. Vance reportedly met Bengals head coach Zac Taylor and his staff.

After practice, quarterback Joe Burrow told reporters that he did not meet Vance.

We did not [meet]. He [JD Vance] came with everybody and left with swiftness and efficiency before the end of practice. So, I didn’t get to.

Burrow noted that there were more people in the facility than usual due to the visit.

That’s what I love about what I do is it brings a lot of people together, and people want to take time out of their day to come and watch what we do, watch what I do, and watch all the work that I’ve put in to come and watch greatness.

Joe Burrow reacts to the Bengals’ big clash against the Baltimore Ravens

Burrow is well rested with the Bengals enjoying a bye. On Sunday, they face divisional rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Despite it being an early-season matchup, the fixture carries significant ramifications and Burrow understands the weight of the game. The Bengals are trying to avoid a 0-2 division record after losing to the Steelers in Week three.

It’s a big game. There’s no hiding from that. There’s a lot of football to be played after this, but anytime we play the Ravens with placing in the division on the line, it’s going to be a big game, so we’re treating it that way.

Burrow boasts a 4-7 record against the Ravens. He has a passer rating of 98.3 with 3,185 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. The 3-2 Bengals are 2-point favorites against the 4-2 Ravens in Week 7.
