Massive news about Bill Belichick’s love life surfaced ahead of North Carolina’s showdown against top-ranked Miami on Saturday night. According to reports from multiple outlets, Belichick and Jordon Hudson are no longer together.

Belichick and Hudson ended their four-year relationship in 2025. The specifics of the breakup are unclear. However, people close to Belichick hinted that it was quite amicable. So much so that they have gone about living their normal lives as if nothing had happened.

TMZ was the first to report the news, and People later confirmed the separation. That said, the pair remain “committed to their business partnerships and remain close friends.”

E! News reported that there hasn’t been any public indication of Belichick and Hudson’s split. Both have stayed quiet on the subject. Hudson’s most recent post on May 2 features the two holding hands at the Kentucky Derby. She captioned the post, “Not the first time we’ve trudged through the mud together.”

Moreover, The New York Times confirmed that Hudson has attended UNC’s games at Chapel Hill this year. She was seen on the sidelines during the Tar Heels’ defeat to Syracuse last week.

Belichick and Hudson first met on a flight in 2021. They went public about their relationship in 2024. In May last year, Hudson hard-launched her engagement to the veteran head coach. However, the relationship didn’t last very long. Per TMZ, it ended sometime in 2025.

Early in their relationship, Hudson faced criticism for the 50-year age gap between her and Belichick. She ignored the critics for a while but retaliated after someone DMed her on Instagram.

You do realize direct messaging a stranger on Instagram with the intent of harassing them regarding their own personal relationship is insane, right?

Jordon Hudson said

The former Bridgewater State University cheerleader received scrutiny after she allegedly interrupted Belichick’s interview with CBS Sunday Morning. Clips of the incident leaked online.

However, Belichick defended Hudson. He claimed she was “simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track.”

Hudson also sent e-mails to UNC administration seeking permission to be on campus premises as much as she wanted. She was denied access and apparently banned from the premises altogether. UNC later clarified that Hudson never held a position within the institution.

Hulu wanted to film a docu-series on Belichick, but UNC had to scrap the project due to the ongoing tension. UNC football struggled on the field. They finished 4-8. However, Hudson hasn’t received enough publicity in 2026 as UNC continues its resurgence. The Tar Heels are 4-3 after seven games.

Bill Belichick and UNC set for a tough challenge against Miami

Miami stands in front of UNC on Saturday. The Hurricanes are the team to beat this year. Duke transfer Darian Mensah has led last season’s CFP finalists to an unbeaten start.

UNC hasn’t faced Miami in the last two seasons. But Belichick’s Tar Heels faced Mensah last year, when he was Duke’s quarterback. UNC lost 32-25. Mensah completed 20 of 33 passes for 175 yards and one touchdown.

“Though he was pretty good last year; thought he was pretty good at Tulane the year before,” Belichick said recently about Mensah.

Belichick said that the 21-year-old signal caller possesses “NFL-type talent: good arm, athletic, sees things well, makes good decisions.” Mensah has completed an absurd 81.4% of his passes in the first seven Miami games.

Mensah has thrown for 2151 yards, 22 touchdowns, and one interception. He also has two scores on the ground.

UNC signed a new quarterback this year. Billy Edwards Jr. started his college career at Wake Forest before spending three years with Maryland. In 2025, he transferred to Wisconsin and this year won UNC’s quarterback job. Edwards has thrown for 11 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.

UNC and Miami last played each other in 2023. Current Patriots quarterback Drake Maye started for UNC that day. Maye threw 17 completions, 273 yards, and 4 touchdowns in a 41-31 victory. UNC leads the series 14-11 over Miami and hasn’t lost to them in the last five meetings.
