On Thursday, the Milwaukee Brewers surprised the fans at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, as they showed up with the World Series title during the game between the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers. During the celebrations, Sal Frelick performed the famous Lambeau Leap and jumped in to celebrate with the fans.
This past Wednesday saw the Brewers clinch their first World Series title in franchise history as they overcame the Tampa Bay Rays. After leading the series 3-0, the Brew Crew missed a chance to sweep their opponents after blowing an extra-innings lead and getting walked off in Game 4.
There was no such drama in Game 5. Starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski once again dominated the hitters and threw 5.2 scoreless innings before being pulled from the game due to a cramp.
Cooper Pratt, who had put the Brewers on the brink of victory in Game 4 with the go-ahead home run in the 12th inning, continued his hot streak and drove in 2 runs. In the end, the National League side emerged as 4-1 winners in Game 5 and clinched their first title in franchise history.

Veteran pitcher Brandon Woodruff led the team and held the Commissioner’s Trophy as they took to the ground at Lambeau Field. The stadium erupted in joy as the players made their way out.

Speaking of the Packers game, they won 27-19 and improved their season record to 5-3. So, not a bad night for anyone involved with the Brewers and the Packers.
MLB Hall of Famer Robin Yount takes chip off his shoulders following Brewers’ historic triumph
In their 57th season in MLB, the Milwaukee Brewers finally crossed the finish line and claimed the World Series title. With their historic triumph, MLB Hall of Famer Robin Yount has taken the chip off his shoulder.

44 years ago, the Brewers were within touching distance of the title. After winning Game 5 of the 1982 World Series, the then-American League champions were one win away from lifting the trophy.
However, Yount and his team got crushed 13-1 in Game 6, which forced a Game 7 against the St. Louis Cardinals. In the final game, the Cardinals defeated them 6-3 and won the World Series.
Yount, who spent his entire 20-year career with the Brewers, never got another chance at the title. So for him and several lifelong Brewers fans, Wednesday’s victory meant they could finally let the 1982 defeat off their shoulders.
I wanted it real bad. I’ve been carrying around ’82 for a long time.
Robin Yount said as per Spectrum News 1 Winconsin
Brewers legend Robin Yount says the team proved to the world they’re winners tonight. “I’ve been carrying around ‘82 for a long time.” Now, he can pass the torch. #WorldSeries #Champions https://t.co/HjJtl3chqq

With their win, the Brewers’ also took off their name from the list of active teams that have never won the World Series. As for the Rays, they will have to wait for at least another year to cross off their name from this list.
