The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the entrants of ICC Hall of Fame for 2020. One of the greatest all-rounders of all-time, Jacques Kallis along with former Australian women’s team captain Lisa Sthalekar and Pakistan legend Zaheer Abbas got inducted in the elite list of names. The ICC announced this decision on their social media handles, listing the achievements of all the three cricketers.

Through social media posts, the ICC mentioned the greatest achievements of all the three legendary cricketers. Here are some of the records that the ICC highlighted on their official Twitter handle.

Jacques Kallis

Jacques Kallis is the leading run-scorer for South Africa in both the Tests as well as the One Day Internationals. With 13,289 and 11,579 runs respectively in the two formats, Kallis is an absolute giant in South Africa cricket.

The Protean also has over 200 wickets in both the formats and holds the record of 23 Player of the Match awards in Tests as well. All these records make him an all-round cricketing legend.

Lisa Sthalekar

Former Australian women cricket team’s captain and current commentator, Lisa Sthalekar also made it to the ICC Hall of Fame. The Australian was also the only woman whose name was inducted in the list of legends. 

Lisa was also a part of the Australian side during the 2005 and 2013 ODI World Cup editions. She won the consecutive T20 World Cup in 2010 and 2012 as well. The 41-year old also holds the record for being the first woman to achieve the ODI double of 1000 runs and 100 wickets.

Zaheer Abbas

The ‘Asian Badman’ Zaheer Abbas was the third cricketer to find a place in ICC Hall of Fame 2020. Abbas was famous for his ability to score big runs for his team. He received the nickname of ‘Run Machine’ for his this ability only.

The Pakistan maestro is also the first batsman to score five centuries in consecutive international matches. Zaheer Abbas is also the only Asian batsman till date to score 100 first-class centuries.
