Yuki Tsunoda

Red Bull enjoyed a great evening in Jeddah as Max Verstappen won the race ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. But after Yuki Tsunoda’s incident with their Powertrains, Red Bull have still got massive reliability issues that could haunt them in the season ahead.

Yuki Tsunoda missed the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after his AlphaTauri AT03 stopped on track. The car suffered some engine issues and stopped ahead of the formation lap of the main race ruling the Japanese driver out of the race.

The driver called it a shame that the team have not found an ideal solution to their engine issues yet. This comes after Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez suffered a DNF during the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix.

And the new Red Bull powertrains are in the midst of another stir.

He said in his post-race interview, “It’s such a shame having these problems two rounds in a row. We cannot continue like this, we have to solve this issue as soon as possible, reliability issue, to have more consistent results.”

Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez suffered Fuel pump related issues in the Bahrain Grand Prix. While teammate Pierre Gasly suffered a major fire after suffering an engine-related issue during the same race.
