LIV Golf Series
The LIV Golf series has caused its fair share of drama over the last few months since its inception. It has butt heads with a lot of golfers, the PGA Tour and fans of golf alike. Things have recently not been going well for the Series, after losing out on an antitrust lawsuit that was filed by 11 defectors of the PGA. This barred three golfers from playing in the St. Jude FedEx Championship recently, and has put the Series under scrutiny after details of player contracts were leaked.
The LIV Series has already carried out three events since its inception- the most recent one being at the Trump Bedminster Golf Course in New Jersey. That event did not go down well with most of the crowd. The victims and survivors of 9/11 were enraged to say the least, and public was unhappy at Trump for hosting a Saudi backed series in his own backyard.
Yet, the event was carried out with much pomp and vigour. Needless to say, the next five tournaments for the months of September and October have been announced and Twitter had a lot to say about it.

The first and biggest hypocrisy that was pointed out was the fact that golfer joined the series wanted to play ‘less golf’. Yet, with 5 events planned in two months, it seems that the golfers will have no time for their families. Twitter pointed out the issue- obviously calling out the golfers for their fake reasons to join the Series.
Another funny moment that happened was when people pointed out that no one watched LIV Golf events. The tickets for the Series are sold at a mere $1, and its YouTube subscriptions are also less than usual. Yet, the Series will carry out its events as per plan, not caring much about the public opinion.
