“Shorter than his second term”- Donald Trump pranked by Jake Adams and his companions at LIV Golf pro-am

On his own golf course, Donald Trump was jeered as he hit a shot into the water, with the trolls making fun of the fact that his drive was “shorter than his second term.” At the LIV Golf pro-am last Thursday at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, New Jersey, Jake Adams and his companions yelled insults at the former president who was standing mere feet ahead of them.

Jake, aged 29, of Venice, Los Angeles, interrupts Trump as he prepares to swing while donning his trademark MAGA hat, saying, “You built a golf course just to miss this green.” Unexpectedly, the former president responds, “It isn’t an easy one to miss,” before one of Jake’s friends asks, “That swing looks a little broken, was it made in China?” during one of his practice shots.

Before swinging back to take his shot, the Republican rejoins the conversation by stating, “I don’t know – too much is made in China.” “What would your followers say if you hit this left?”, yells another person in Jake’s group when Trump was swinging. One of them jokes that the ball ended up in the pond short of the green, “a bit short, like your second term,” but Trump seems to take the jabs in stride. Despite security personnel monitoring them, Jake claims he wasn’t afraid to jeer the former president, and he appreciates that Trump was a “good sport.”

Since being posted on their TikTok page last Wednesday, the group, which is a part of the Country Club Adjacent podcast, has had over 10 million views. Users have praised the group for their “savage” comments. Jake said: ‘He played along, but when he went into the water I think he was upset and walked away. Eric came up to us afterwards and he was laughing’.

‘It was good that he got involved and we don’t mind getting something back.’ ‘I’m sure he wanted to hit a good shot in front of us and then turn around and throw it in our faces. That would have been funny’. ‘When we heard Trump would be there, we wrote a little bit of what we were going to say to him before’. ‘I thought I’d be nervous, but I wasn’t. Luckily, I knew one of the pro golfers in the group and he eased the tension for us’.He was a good sport and I have to say, he’s a pretty good golfer for his age. I’ll give him that.’ said jake.

Los Angeles-based comedians Jake and his pals were invited to heckle pro-am golfers by LIV Golf as part of their regular “back off challenge” material. Before Trump’s entourage arrived at the tee, according to Jake, the group was examined by security. More than 10,000 people have commented on their video, appreciating the jokes made by the group and Trump for “brushing it off like a boss.” “All that time golfing during his presidency and he’s still bad,” one person said.
