“Why would you reopen this can of worms” Skip Bayless is puzzled as to why Aaron Rodgers spoke about his immunization now

Aaron Rodgers is the face of the Green Bay Packers and is considered a leader in the dressing room. Therefore when you reveal these kinds of things on a podcast, there are bound to be some ramifications.

Recently, on the Joe Rogan Podcast, Aaron Rodgers brought up his COVID vaccination story one year after it happened. Rodgers misled the media by telling them he was immunized but he had never taken the vaccine and was lying to the people. Most importantly, he was playing regular games during that time and endangering the health of his teammates.

Skip Bayless was unsure of how to react to this situation, he was left perplexed and couldn’t understand why would Rodgers talk about this now. People had completely forgotten about that time and to bring it up again is foolish.

“My other question is, why would you reopen this can of worms on the eve of another season?” Skip Bayless asked on UNDISPUTED. “Like most of us, kind of, we don’t forget about it. We don’t forgive it, but it kind of fades … because we’re all trying to get over COVID. We’re trying to get through the pandemic.”

This web of lies can also lead to a sense of mistrust within the team and Aaron Rodgers who is looking to be a leader in the team will have a hard time convincing other players to trust him.

Skip Bayless thinks that the Packers QB lied to the media and the people. Aaron Rodgers has lost respect from many players who admired his ability. It won’t matter how good he is on the field if he performs such theatrics off the field.

“So my takeaway from his remarks is I’m pretty sure he’s saying, ‘Yeah, I lied to the media, but how dare the media call me a liar.” Skip Bayless said. “That’s what he’s saying here, if I read it correctly.”

Skip Bayless also went on to further say that Aaron Rodgers will lose the support of his players and no one would follow him into the battle. “It’s hard to trust him. It’s hard to depend on him. It’s hard to follow him into battle because, if you played for him, you would have come to this conclusion.”

Aaron Rodgers is one of the finest players in the NFL but if he wants to become something more then he will have to change his attitude and take responsibility for his actions.
