‘Can’t wait to watch domination’ – Suryakumar Yadav comments on Virat Kohli’s tweet following backlash for ‘liked’ post

An interesting saga has been going on for quite some time between Suryakumar Yadav who represents the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Indian national team skipper Virat Kohli. It all began with what was seemingly a ‘cold war’ with the duo involved in a stare-off during a match between MI and Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Now, following the IPL which MI won, Kohli has left to Australia where he’ll lead his national side. Suryakumar Yadav on the other hand has returned home to India. On Tuesday, the MI batter’s activities on social media caught the attention of a lot of fans. Yadav supposedly liked a post that praised MI skipper Rohit Sharma’s captaincy and referred to Kohli as a ‘paper captain’. Surya’s like and the post have since been removed.
Surya comments on Kohli’s tweet
Virat Kohli posted a video of him practicing for India’s tour of Australia. Suryakumar Yadav commented on the post saying, “Energy. Sound. Can’t wait to watch domination”.
Suryakumar Yadav has praised Virat Kohli previously. Fans were quick to recall a post in the past where Surya referred to the Indian skipper as ‘God’. Yadav was in terrific form in this year’s IPL as he notched up 480 runs for his team in 16 games at an impressive average of 40.00. Despite his consistent performances, he hasn’t been able to don the Indian blue.
The India-Australia series will begin from November 27.
