Varun Chakravarthy’s pictures with Tamil cinema star Vijay go viral

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Tamil Nadu cricketer Varun Chakravarthy has had a dream year in cricket. He became a mainstay in his Indian Premier League (IPL) side KKR’s playing XI. He was also their best performer in the season picking up 17 wickets including the best figures for the year’s tournament, a fifer against Delhi Capitals (DC).

The leg-spinner’s performances in the IPL led to him being named in the Indian T20I squad for their tour of Australia. However, a shoulder injury led to him being ruled out and replaced by fellow Tamil Nadu bowler T Natarajan. Despite the injury setback, the 29-year-old looks set to don the Indian jersey sooner rather than later.
