Antonio Conte believes Frank Lampard is the man for Chelsea

Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has said Frank Lampard is leading Chelsea in the right way. The Italian manager won the Premier League with Chelsea in the 2016/17 season.

Lampard has been hugely backed by the Chelsea board and has been given the financial support requested. World class talents like Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech all gather at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte departed Chelsea in 2018 having won the Premier League and the FA CUP. He was succeeded by Maurizio Sarri who won Chelsea the Europa League. The Blues have continued to taste success even though the managers have changed.

I remember when I arrived at Chelsea and the situation wasn’t this. Because I remember in my first season, we faced the season with only 16 players.

“But, in this year, the club worked very well. I know they are doing a really good job because I continue to follow Chelsea. I am a fan.

Following his departure, there were lots of talks that Conte lost the trust of the dressing room. However after winning the league, the board should’ve backed him with the signings he wanted.

Lampard is, for sure, doing a good job and he knows very well the club because he’s a legend for Chelsea.

“I think it was the same when I started with Juventus because I knew very well the club and the way that you had to follow to reach your target. Lampard is the right coach for Chelsea.”
