Draymond Green is usually known for his elite defense that helps anchor it all up. He is the perfect backbone to Stephen Curry and Warriors’ offense. This is what led them to an astonishing NBA Finals victory last season. But once again, he took everybody by surprise after draining a clutch three-pointer.
As the Warriors were up by two during the second overtime, Green helped them extend their led 141-136 with a surprise three-pointer. This had the announcers, fans and Curry jumping in joy. What started off as a nail-biting upset end with a bang. It was unexpected how everything turned around and flipped one-eighty. Klay Thompson, for instance, has been bringing out his A-game finishing with 54-points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists shooting 21-39 from the field.
Both Draymond Green and Kevon Looney played massive roles in supporting the Warriors on defense. Green had 13 rebounds and 11 assists that helped the Dubs go miles. Looney added 14 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in the mix. The Warrioes recorded 6 blocks and 9 steals.
For the Hawks, four players scored more than 20 points with Trae Young leading the way once again. He had 30 points and 14 assists in the game backed by a combined 50 points from Dejounte Murray and John Collins. Bogdan Bogdanovic had 21 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
