Doudrop has been absent from WWE TV since September 2022. Her most recent WWE appearance was in NXT. In her final match, she teamed up with Nikki ASH to defeat Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne) before disappearing with no official update. However, in her recent tweet, she finally revealed the reason for her absence, providing her fans with some updates regarding her health concerns.

When a fan asked about her disappearance from WWE, Doudrop quoted the tweet and replied, “I was very sick, but I am healing.” Earlier, Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer also reported that she had some visa issues like other stars from “NXT UK.” Doudrop debunked this rumor while replying to another fan, “Absolutely may be the case for others but not for me”

On December 20th, she also posted a photo of her on Twitter with the tweet, “Not Dead, don’t worry.” She has been very active on Twitter in these past months, recently reacting to the return of Tegan Nox on SmackDown.

Doudrop debuted in NXT UK back in 2019 as Piper Niven. She was a well-known name in the UK independent scene. That is why she also got a positive response from fans when she confronted Rhea Ripley in that episode. Doudrop signed with NXT UK soon after that. She was called up on the main roster as the protegee of Eva Marie. Marie revealed her name as Doudrop in the following episode of Raw.

Niven was a constant feature in the main event scene down in NXT UK. She challenged for the main women’s title of the promotion many times. Her best matches were against her rivals Toni Storm and Kay Lee Ray, who alternated holding the NXT UK Women’s Championship, but the title eluded her. Niven’s dream of being the NXT UK Women’s Champion was left incomplete when she was called up to the main roster as “Doudrop.”

On the main roster, she fought for the Raw Women’s championship only once. It was against Becky Lynch at the Royal Rumble 2022 in a losing effort. She was briefly involved with the 24/7 title “weekly shenanigans,” winning it twice in the process.

During the last run before her absence, she was teaming up with Nikki ASH to challenge for the Women’s tag titles. After suffering a loss in the tournament to crown the new WWE Women’s Tag Team champions, Doudrop and Nikki moved to WWE NXT. They were immediately put on a program with Katana Chance and Kayden Carter for the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles.

Piper Niven, AKA Doudrop, has yet to win a major title in WWE. This is why getting an update about her recovery via Twitter was great news for her fans. There is no doubt that she can deliver in the ring in terms of work rate, but only time will tell whether she will be able to get her hands on any gold under the creative control of Triple H.
