The NFL trade deadline has passed and all teams who wanted to improve their rosters have made their moves. The Pittsburgh Steelers made two moves, one for Mike Williams, formerly of the New York Jets. That means all the rumors of his potential exit after the response he received from Aaron Rodgers has become true.
The four-time league MVP pointed his finger at his now-former teammate after that costly slip led to an interception. But a few days after that, Rodgers tried to downplay the situation. However, his actual opinion of his teammate was clear in the next few days.
The arrival of close friend and former teammate Davante Adams seemingly confirmed his exit. The addition of the perennial All-Pro meant Williams would hardly see the field. But injuries to Allen Lazard, another Rodgers friend, probably could have saved his spot.
Until earlier, when the Pittsburgh Steelers swooped in to rescue the wideout. Aaron Rodgers was live on The Pat McAfee Show when news of the trade broke through. When asked about his instant reaction, the 40-year-old quarterback played a diplomatic act.
Mike’s a quiet guy, just kinda goes about his business. I felt like that he was getting better throughout the early part of the season. It’s the mental part that takes the longest. Mike’s a good guy, he’ll be good in that locker room. Sometimes a change of scenery is great for certain guys.

The superstar signal-caller went on to say that it was obvious with Davante Adams coming in that others would see fewer targets. However, he did not once mention anything about his opinion about that losing week.
Aaron Rodgers now has a team that he likes
Before this season started, many were optimistic that with the pieces around him, Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets would be one of the teams to beat. But fast forward to Week 5 and with them trailing 2-3, they fired head coach Robert Saleh.

A week later, Mike Williams slipped, and they lost again. After this loss, Davante Adams came to New York. Now it seemed Rodgers had a super team of an offense. However, two weeks later, the story was still the same.
But this past week, something clicked in the second half of their game. The offense suddenly looked like it was about to explode. With some unreal catches and Adams opening his account, in addition to the defense playing outstanding football, the Jets look like a good team.
Now, Aaron Rodgers has everything and everyone around him to succeed. A Super Bowl might be a pipe dream this season, but even if they can muster up some good wins, New York fans will be ecstatic. Else, media and fans will bring back all the decisions of this season on to him.
