Chad Gable‘s remarkable heel turn has catapulted him into the spotlight, making him one of the most coveted wrestlers in the industry today. He has become one of the most hated bad guys on the roster, degrading and insulting his students to get what he wants. The former tag team champion’s contract expired on June 7, and WWE has already made him an excellent offer. However, Gable also has a few people pushing him to Tony Khan.

According to Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both companies have shown interest in Chad Gable. As of now, he stated that the only update is that WWE has made him an excellent offer. Furthermore, the Jacksonville-based company couldn’t extend an offer until his contract had expired. However, some top guys tried convincing Tony Khan to show interest in him.

Speaking about his WWE run, he has become obsessed with the Intercontinental title and is willing to do whatever it takes. After Sami Zayn defeated Gunther at WrestleMania XL, the 38-year-old star was jealous of the fact that he had achieved what he had dreamed of. This built-in rage turned him into a heel and he started punishing his students, Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa, for not stepping up their game.

After losing his Triple Threat title match involving Bronson Reed and champion Zayn in Saudi Arabia, he decided to seek retribution against them once more. Many fans are clamoring for him, especially Otis, to emerge from his shadow. The storyline will climax when the leader of The Alpha Academy finally gets his opportunity to face him at Clash at the Castle PLE. Only time will tell what transpires in Scotland.

Former WWE writer Brian Gewirtz praised the storyline between Chad Gable and Sami Zayn

The rivalry between Chad Gable and Sami Zayn is one of the best storylines going on right now. Not only fans, but former WWE writer, Brian Gewirtz also praised the intensity of both superstars and their efforts to make this rivalry more interesting. He expressed his honest opinion about it in an interview.

While speaking on the Cheap Heat podcast, Gewirtz showered praise on WWE for giving the full spotlight to Gable’s heel persona. He stated that the Stamford-based company just couldn’t let him stay with Shorty G, a bizarre character he adopted around 2019. However, he was thankful that finally, someone in WWE saw what kind of talent he had.

Now, you can tell that there’s someone you know, whether it’s whoever, that says ‘You know what, this guy’s an amazing talent, he’s got a great personality. They’re just letting him take off, and it’s paying off in spades, and it could very easily have been ‘Yeah, no thanks, we’re gonna stick with this Shorty G thing. We’re going to see this out until the end.

Fans also praised the 38-year-old star when he was a babyface and sought to win the Intercontinental Title for his daughter. However, it seems that he is closer than ever to taking that championship away from Zayn. It will be interesting to see who walks out as the IC Champion on June 15.
